michael bloomberg is hitting the campaign trail today. he began with a record-breaking $34 million ad . the latest polls show joe biden essentially locked in a four- way primary race with the indiana mayor and senator elizabeth warren and bernie sanders. other democratic candidates were critical. >> it does not mean billionaires buying elections are just because they are billionaires they cannot run for president. >> president trump so there is no else you would rather run against than the fellow new york city building are and bloomberg promises not to take any campaign contributions and by not accepting donations you will not qualify for the debates.

back to the rally in san francisco were people protesting the recall effort of a city supervisor after supervisor sandra lee fewer let a chant and kpix 5's anne makovec is live and people are saying that supervisor sandra lee fewer should not have to lose her job over it. >> reporter: they want her to remain in the position she has issued a public letter of apology about all of this. i just got my hands on the petition that could lead her to be recalled from her position. that is the incident that inside of the cell and it happened earlier this month at a luncheon party. the video recorded on the camera of a reporter with kqed who posted it on twitter. the crowd began to chant profanities about the police

union for funding attack and in the race and then came the recall effort. the petition says in part she has revealed her divisive tendencies by riling up a crowd with hate and profanity. she has failed the children of san francisco who may look to her as a role model and embarrassed our city before the rest of the country. the people here say that supervisor fewer has been a champion for them and their needs during the time she has been supervisor and they do not want to lose her. >>isalways stood up for working-class families and spoken out against bullying and really done the hard work to make our lives better in san francisco.

homeless and pregnant. two words that shouldn't go together but do. it is a hidden portion of the homeless population and today in our original series "project home" we introduce you to a woman who is five months pregnant and sleeping in a tent . >> i do not know what to do or who to talk to i just feel like i'm really alone. there is not that much resources out here for women. >> the homeless prenatal program in san francisco helps 789 point won delir babies this year and 296 were living on the street. you can watch the full report in "project home" tonight at 11:00. volunteers with sacred heart community service in san jose were up bright and early

and today is the start of their thanksgiving food distribution drive . over the next two days they will distribute 4400 holiday food boxes to members of the community. each box has $100 worth of items like canned goods and cooking oil and pasta. families will also pick out a turkey, ham, or chicken. the help is crucial to those who spend 80% of their income on rent. >> to be able to it will deal with increasing rents were coming to us so we are actually really proud to be able to have someone in our community rallying to make sure that others have what they need, but that needs continues to grow. >> they plan to distribute another 3500 food boxes in december. kpix 5 is also teaming up with community partners to help their neighbors in need this holiday season. it is the food for bay area families drive and you can donate to your local whole foods market or check out www.kpix.com .
