breaking news here at noon. and streaming on cbs n bay area, a huge bust. authorities black town $2 million worth of stolen good, suspected to be out of san francisco. good afternoon. i'm michelle griego go and i'm kenny choi. >> reporter: everything from cell phones and laptops to high- end purses. the san francisco district's attorney's office says this is an unprecedented cooperative effort that resulted in the discovery of nearly two million dollars worth of suspected stolen goods in san francisco. they just announced this earlier at a press conference. earlier this week, multiple law enforcement agencies took down a large fencing operation as part of operation focus lens.

the goods include personal laptops, retail items with the tag still on them and the bar code scratched off. even cell phones wrapped in aluminium foil to avoid detection. there is enough evidence to lead districts to believe that they are deal with organized criminals. >> here is what we know about the property came and some of the drivers of property crime. what is the in seanative is if you can quickly dispose of the the stolen property. >> more than 100 law enforcement officers were involved in the bust and 30 warrants were served. interim district attorney says this was made possible thanks to funding from the state and it does remain an ongoing investigation. chp, bart police, even representatives from the united states postal service all helped take down this operation. if you had a phone or laptop stolen from your car and you

this afternoon, muni is dealing with an ongoing equipment. some its outdated trains are out of service. >> it will be like this through tomorrow's commute. the problem is with part of the train that holds the cars together and that is a part that has had problems before. >> some of muni's trains are coming up short today because a pin that is supposed to hold two car trains together is falling apart. the s fm t.a. learned about the problems yesterday. >> an operator recorded that ride felt different so our crew was able to investigate the train she was on. and they discovered that shear pain on the muni train lasts only about three months before running unreliable. now, this running trains with older pins as single leaving already packed trains more so. >> that's frustrating. they are exacted as it is, even
