pistol whip. as they chased the honda civic at speeds up to 70 miles per hour, northwest of petaluma, they are unaware the person behind the wheel is actually the owner, david ward. who reported the car stolen. when he stops, there is a violent confrontation, attempting to get him out of the car. we want to warn you, it is disturbing to watch >> get out of the car. >> all right, i'm getting out. [ screaming ] >> the deputies used a taser and hold on him. when they finally got him out they realized he was not breathing. the cold front ambulance and started cpr themselves. he was pronounced dead at petaluma valley hospital. it is not clear how he ended up behind the wheel of his own carjacked vehicle. a man who had been living with him has been charged with the theft and with attacking him.

meanwhile, the deputy in the video seen pulling him out of the car, charles blunt, has been fired. a second deputy involved, jason lytle, has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the internal investigation. a traffic alert in south bay. an overturned big rig is blocking highway 237 in san jose nearthe is in road exit. this all unfolded this morning. officials say a mobile crane was traveling westbound when it swerved to avoid collision. the driver lost control flipping over the center divide. the big rig landed on its side and spilled 200 gallons of fuel across the freeway. the chp says, the driver was not there is a injured. out east and westbound lanes of highway 237 remain closed. officials are warning drivers reopen. live look at sfo, fog i

lights. it is a tradition that started 20 years ago. with just 600 lights. >> kids drive long distances to come back to work every weekend, starting in september, to put this together. >> my daughter is crazy. she drives from rochester to hear every weekend. a 10 hour round trip. they pick colleges nearby because they knew if they went too far away to school, they could not come back to do this >> this year, the holiday display features more than 641,000 lights, choreographed to 252 songs. very impressive. a christmas light display in the east bay is raising money for a 14-year-old leukemia patient. the lighted tunnels have been a tradition on mecosta drive in brentwood for 2 years. every year proceeds go to help east bay cancer patients. this year's recipient, ryan petty, is going through chemo. the fundraiser happens tomorrow night from 6:00 until 9:00.

number two tomatoes sold year- round they are great for sauces . they are great in so many different recipes. you cut them into quarters. it is a perfect tomato wedge. this time of year, you have to be careful. can make sauces. for local once. this time of year, they are lo okimportant and not bad. especially for the price. beautiful roma flavor will be gone if not stored properly. medium ones are the best. not to big. heavy for their size means there is a cavity inside with tomato all the way through. a beautiful texture. when you bring them home, put them on the counter. not the refrigerator. that is it. shelflife is about four or five days. wait too long and they will get to soft and over. roma tomatoes i always have the around the house.
