new video out of san francisco, man wearing a mask ran up to a woman and try to steal herself on. the woman was talking on the phone on the suspect approached her. she managed a hold on and the guy ended up taking off. this happened yesterday afternoon near the san bruno market. a suspect is now behind bars. michael mohan was arrested in emeryville. he is the one of two men grabbing a gun at gunpoint, it happened in broad daylight in the driveway of a home earlier this month. they got away with the man's cell phone and jewelry, with about $10,000. the other suspect was arrested last week. emergency crews had to scramble at mineta san jose

international airport when a pilot reported trouble and had to make an emergency landing. four people were aboard the paper plane that flew in from idaho. the pilot reported a problem with the landing gear. the plane circled for several minutes while emergency crews got ready on the ground. the plane eventually made a successful belly landing. everyone on board is okay. the faa is now investigating. the sheriffs department is looking into allegations of a deputy who shared graphic images from the deadly helicopter crash that killed kobe bryant. the deputy had a photo on his phone and was seen showing them to another official who was not part of the investigation. it also reports that the sheriffs department quietly ordered deputies to delete the photos. the department has not confirmed the allegations. a push to get more businesses and fewer

storefronts in san francisco's north beach neighborhood. on friday, leaders celebrated the opening of a restaurant. the relocation to north beach on columbus avenue. 21 new businesses have opened in the neighborhood within the last year. supervisor aaron peskin is proposition d. which put a tax on vacant storefronts. it's not the moon, but you can call that many men. researchers have discovered a tiny object temporarily orbiting the earth. the asteroid about the size of the car was pulled into orbit three years ago. the discovery was made by two researchers for the catalina sky survey. the many men circles earth once about every 47 days. it's the second asteroid that is known to entered earth's orbit. the previous one was back in 2006.

as far as the weather is concerned, i'm going to start off with the lead. the main thing you need to know is how different the temperatures are going to be today. some of these numbers are in fact 15 degrees cooler than yesterday was. we are barely making it up to the 60 degree mark for much of the bay area today. many of these spots were in the low and mid 70s yesterday. here is a comparison. concord 75 yesterday. san jose 63 today, was 76 yesterday. oakland at 60. is 73 for you yesterday. fremont goes to 59. here is the biggest drop. it was 74 in fremont yesterday. going to 59 today for the daytime high. that is the afternoon. noticeably cooler, both saturday and sunday are pretty much identical temperature wise but as far as the wind, sunday will be different. there is a wind advisory for a lot chans coming. just in time for the weekend.

very different from what we have been on autopilot because it's been so nice lately. there is some fog out there to start our saturday morning. it is pretty much isolated to the north bay. you can see 10 miles through the east bay. once we get up into sonoma county, we've only got visibility going to a quarter mile. that is how far you can see down the roadway. it is breezy out there if you're near the coast or on the bay. look at that 14 mile an hour wind coming in for san francisco there. the arrows show you the direction it is moving. that will make it feel cool. it will feel chilly and breezy. that covers saturday. here's the issue for sunday. the wind advisory. everyone in blue has got it. it starts at 10:00 a.m. on sunday. it goes until 9:00 in the morning on monday and look at the difference here when you get to the and word spots. i've got concord, cn ramon,

there is a breeze coming into the city but for most of us, tomorrow is the day when the wind picks up. me show you what it looks like out there right now. pretty few, but let's put some numbers on this morning. take a look at the map. notice how there is a patch of blue for the north bay. big difference to start off the morning in terms of the temperature spread. it is only 40 in santa rosa right now, 50 and san jose. livermore, you are my cool spot and len, 48 to start out for you and 50 in san francisco. if we want to take a look at what the winds are doing, you can see that number there for san francisco says 14 with an arrow, that is your onshore. that will make it feel truly towards the coast. fog up there, keep an eye for that if you're going to be in the north bay. 10 miles down the roadway, but a quarter for santa rosa and three quarters for petaluma.

you can only see that far down the road, give yourself a little extra time. it will be foggy out there in the north bay. much cooler today, wind advisory for sunday and then yes, it is going to be all over by next week and we are going to warm right back up. i will show that to you in the seven day. a new coronavirus case in santa clara county is leading to a shifting strategy. the patient is an elderly woman with chronic health issues. she had no recent travel to china or no contact with an infected person. another new case brings the bay area total to at least five. there are now 30 cases in california. a third u.s. case of unknown origin is confirmed in oregon. len ramirez tells us the new numbers are prompting an urge ittime to prepare for the possibility of widespread community transmission.

the new gan in san francisco is making good on his promise to bring changes to the criminal justice system. he says he will not prosecute suspects who are caught with illegal guns and drugs of the discovery happens during an unrelated traffic stop. the d a also on charge gang enhancement or file under three strikes law. he wants to reduce racial disparities. the police officers in and says all of this will make san francisco even less safe. the city attorney has issued 14 subpoenas in connection with the probe into mohammed new riegel. according to a newspaper, the subpoenas are connected to a project he is accused of trying

get back there. >> reporter: there is a group called restore hetch hetchy which would like to return the valley to its natural state. at the very least, the public should have access to this land that is part of yosemite national park . >> people should be able to explore the camden. the easiest way to get back there would to be allowed boating on the reservoir. >> reporter: the group has proposed an electric ferryboat system. it could transport people to various places that are currently only reachable by a multi-day backpacking journey. but the public utilities commission says that is not interested in any act tivoli that allows human contact with the water. >> and our experience, people in wilderness, national parks, lakes, where people go, trouble tends to follow. we have to be very cautious about the kind of access that

it's not going to fall on any of the major rain gauges to break the street but the clouds e coming poilitfor a dr of ra thsu, the temperatures are pretty much identical but sunday is very different from saturday. if you are in the area shaded in blue on the map., that will have a wind advisory tomorrow 10:00, stays in effect until monday morning. we will notice the breeze pick up, particularly over here for m1 contra costa county and alameda county. it's about a 15 mile an hour breeze. the winds will be going to the north of the hose. we should not notice too much right on the major communities. here is the system sitting off the coast responsible for today's drop in temperatures

and the wind tomorrow, look what happens. it just messes us. we only got a chance for sprinkle or two around the s ofhe y area. here is the accumulated rainfall map. you can barely see anything register until you get down to santa cruz. we are sitting at less than half of where we should be for this time of year. this will make a dent in that but at least it's not another four to 8 inches of snow. once we get done with sunday's brazenness, everything goes back to what we were doing last week. we will be back into the mid- 70s for much of this seven-day forecast. we will be back after this. we choose to go to the moon in this decade
