a pair of bay area celebrities are pitching in to help to limit the spread of the coronavirus at the jails and prisons across the state. the alameda county sheriff's office shared a photo of over one dozen cases of hand sanitizer for the inmates at the santa rita jail. this was made by marshawn lynch and the community leader, kevin parker. at least 50 inmates and two staff members tested positive for the virus in the jail since march. referee 40 looking out for inmates that posted a video of 1000 gallons of hand sanitizers shipped to the san quentin state prison and federal prison at santa barbara county. they were labeled a clean machine including the rapper logo of e-40,

working its way across the bay area through the heart of the ba . that is 24 hours from now with rain coming in across the center of the bay area. we have the run line again and that is how long it takes for it to get down to the south bay. sunday afternoon is better rain in the south bay. none of this will be terribly heavy but this is a slow marcher. we will get a decent rain amount from this, particularly in the north bay. that covered sunday, but monday is a little bit different. we don't have that organized line anymore on monday, but what we have are scattered, pop up showers that can appear randomly in the bay area. some could be in the form of et of those that will bring you a brief downpour and possibly small hail, but the chances of that are relatively low for monday.

that ryan owns with his mother and brothedonate 500 masks going to the north bay police, sheriffs, highway patrol, fire department, banks and grocery stores. >> we are trying to stay busy and do something productive to help out our neighbors. >> reporter: the masks are comfortable, using the material with foam that lines the trunk of the car, and you can wash them in the watchman seen, dry them out in the sun, and they will not shrink. >> reporter: chp received 100 masks, and they matched their uniforms. >> they are durable and made with a tough material, and everybody seems to like them. >> reporter: ryan and his family are no strangers to serving others and when the 2016 fire burn down the house, the home of his mother and displaced his brother they gave 400wooden snifters they may for free to help people recover their valuables out of the rubble.

>> people found their rings and stuff like that and one lady found her wedding ring that had been on the nightstand. >> reporter: ryan rebuilt his home in coffee part and says these masks represent today with those sisters meant back then. >> this is a morale booster and i feel these masks did that same thing. >> reporter: from making to giving away the masks to protect law enforcement and other but line workers in the covid-19 pandemic, the jefferson award in the bay area goes to ryan nelson. >> so far they are making the masks without any donations, but the donations are welcome. they also sell masks for non- frontline workers and you get five for $20. for more on the jefferson award offers free devices
