nayknit founded the venice basketball league. he's also an artist who grew up outside paris. his twin passions found a home at the end of a welding tool deftly wieldled by friend. together they create what'd they call survival hoops. >> we built about a hundred of them. we were together every day making hoops. the hoop goes right in here. >> reporter: they're made of chairs, shoes, even car bumpers, reclaimed items. did you see a hoop in everything? >> i see a hoop in everything. you put a few things on the ground there and i could immediately make a hoop out of it. >> reporter: they've hung them in back alleys all over venice. played them, too. >> from downtown! >> reporter: but this is their real hoop dream. an old school bus turned into a rolling court. it was built to bring venice street ball to streets outside venice. >> black lives matter.

walmart is the latest company to join the drone delivery race. the faa has provided final approval to deliver groceries and products from its store. the first delivery program to lift off. now it's delivering library books, something that's been a big hits with kids. eight-year-old lilly is in a hurry, racing to the backyard to check out a library book. >> i'm like, oh, i goto get ready for the book. we have a lot of birds in this area and sometimes we feel like the birds are going to swoop down and take it. >> reporter: take it from a drone. in the southwest corner of virginia, this is the u.s. test

for wing, drone testing facility. >> reporter: why can't i deliver library books? >> yeah. so we were initially talking about the program as a way to bring kids and their summer reading together. >> this was one of the first to sign up last fall. the montgomery county schools lay brarn reached out with the idea. >> we continued to find ways to bring reading and to bring books to our students. >> reporter: you took that quite literally. >> absolutely. i found a new way to do it. >> reporter: when covid took away the libraries, wing flew in to help. about 600 kids live in the deliveryret.can finds the book, packages its and drops it off at wing where the book is weighed, whereas the drones can only carry about three pounds, hoisted into area and carried to kids like her.
