for now back to you a tragedy on lake tahoe as a woman drowns and the man who tried to save her is in critical condition this was friday evening on the east side of the lake, a woman fell off a boat and a man jumped in and tried to save her firefighters tweeted a photo of the rescue vessel and they say the boat that the woman fell out of drifted into the lake with six children on board, those children are not hurt but the man has of your hypothermia. coronavirus is surging once again across the country according to johns hopkins tracker and the number of daily cases in the united states is more than 55,000 the past three tais e wa the see those numbet virus. we have more on what the concern is for doctors with betty yu .>>reporter: after an early fall slow down los angeles county has seen cases topping 1000 a day this week,

colors are still there, and brings all the air over the north bay mountains. wednesday and thursday most likely we will back in the fire weather concerns. to go along with that if the north wind is coming down that is where the august complex is and watch the smoke forecast later today and early monday, a nice stream of smoke starts getting pulled our way. it doesn't have to be too terribly bad but it is enough the air quality district is keeping us under the spare the air conditions until at least tuesday and they may have to extend that to the middle part of the week. expect more smoke. daytime highs today 5 to 7b0 warmer than yesterday, mid to upper 70s in the south bay with temperatures the mid-80s for much of the inland part of the bay area, 84 at concord, 80 at livermore, 77 mill valley. and in the seven day forecast

will hit 76. 82 the daytime high for nd gets rid of the marine layer in a hurry are also the reason why that we are going back in a fire weather concerns by the middle of this week. because the northerly wind continues, not that big of an issue today but on wednesday the map will light up. that shows we are seeing stronger northerly winds, a.k.a. offshore wind also known as fire weather because this reminds go down and come over the north bay mountains and that is when you try it out and it is not only wednesday. it is wednesday and thursday but it is early on that so we will see how it plays out but we could be looking back at fire weather concerns and in addition to that northerly wind will bring us look back our way because august complex fire putting smoke into the sky the air quality will start to go back downhill, wasn't it nice yesterday when we did not have to think about it all?
