like walking on to that set and filming the scene. >> well, for me it was fun. and the whole -- i mean, i had not ever seen that sports setup. >> i remember having a lot of fun during that sequence. and there was just so many cool people on set during those days that we film that. >> whose how is this? >> our house. >> yeah. >> let's do this. >> we are all senior and we are all a little bit proud of the fact that we still walk. and we didn't want people to know that we actually had injuries so when they said are you capable of this we all went, oh, yeah, no problem. >> i thought somebody was going to die in that room absolutely. but the thing that came out was christopher walken used to be a pro dodgeball player in his younger days. >> really? >> no, not really, i am just making that up. the hands of a clock when they hit midnight. >> what's that? >> that's the midnight click, they got the best bikes, the best tricks, the best riders. that's flips, midnight click legend. >> that's the only thing down with them. >> i got an email from my agent with a couple of scripts and it was really hard times through that moment, and among those scripts, i stumbled upon this script titled "12 o'clock boys" by barry jenkins. so i was like, okay, all right, this is two things that i like. barry jenkins which i respect a lot. and the "12 o'clock boys" which i remember the documentary and i remember being compelled by the subculture that was presented. >> after watching the documentary so many times i was like, oh, that's the guy from, you know, it was -- so it was really cool to make a mental note of that and they were really cool. they would ask questions of me and i would ask questions of them. and that was the beautiful thing about it, we sort of helped each other. and we all had a really good time and working together.

>> this time around, we really get to see another side of lina, we get to see her home life, we get to see her away from the palace. and get a more sort of informed view of who she is as a person. >> with part two he gets to enjoy the fruits of his labors but then also the paths of his life might not be going in the way he wants them to. >> the queen cannot lead an army. >> going very well at the start and then it starts slipping out of his fingers. >> england, is at war. >> we created it jointly, so i did the white queen and the white princess solo, and matthew and i are together in real life, he's a very brilliant writer and show runner in his own right and we thought it would be a lot of fun to do this one together and particularly because it is so much about a marriage, a relationship between katherine and henry. and it's brilliant to have, you know, a really strong male viewpoint there as well. >> england is a land of women and children in our army's absence, someone must defend them.

>> there were people of different colors, ethnicities, backgrounds in england, across europe at that time. the wonderful thing about the "the spanish princess" is they discuss that and bring it to the fore and allowed people to have an open and honest discussion about race and religion in this time period. >> i would fight. >> to protect our people. >> there are examples of women throughout history rebelling against the boxes that they have been put in. >> do you want me, henry? i wish that you would be the wife instead of the soldier. >> but then i would be someone else. >> both of us started this journey playing children, really, and got to come back to them as adults, go through so much and that's such an incredible journey. it's so rare that you get to span a character for that long. so i feel very lucky. >> yeah, me too. >> i promise you, i would never stop fighting.
