reaching a fever pitch, how they are preparing for an uptick in business the help that you can get the best view in the house. still, first to that breaking news, the manhunt is underway after two children were taken in a frightening carjacking overnight. a four-year-old girl and a two- year-old boy endured a terrifying few hours after their father's car was stolen. he left his suv parked with the engine running just before 9:00 p.m. while he made a food delivery. his two young children were inside when the suspect jumped into the car and drove off. an amber alert was issued and police began desperately searching for the car. four hours later they found the car with the children still inside. >> words can't express how much

looking up for the cold low. it will be 66 in san jose. we will look at that and the complete forecast coming up in just a bit. a driver has died after a fiery solo crash. it happened at around 2:00 a.m. they found burned-out wreckage underneath highway 680. the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. it's been closed for hours as the investigation continues. shelter in place is in effect for sonoma county as they search for two suspects they believe are linked to a shooting. the manhunt began at 9:00 p.m. and is still going on. it happened near gemini. following reports of shots being fired. the victim has been taken to a

local hospital. san francisco residents are questioning their sense of safety after another attack was, and camera. that he has that story. the video, we want to warn you maybe difficult to watch. >> reporter: it shows him walking around on the street and then it's two men walking behind. they punched the victim knocking him to the ground. >> get out of here. get out of here. >> reporter: they say that he reached into the jacket stole the property and ran into a getaway car. they say that the victim is 79 years old. it happened on thursday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. near kirks street. >> i am upset, terrified, our kids come out and walk our dog by themselves. we feel as if we live in a safe neighborhood.

we are close enough that we never thought that something that bad could happen that quickly. >> reporter: another brazen daytime crime caught on camera. they caught this robbery while in traffic at the interstate 80 on ramp near eighth street. he says he spoke to the victim to notice that they were being followed after a photo shoot. they say that the robbers made off of camera equipment and a drone. >> they run by myself. it changes how i feel about being in my own neighborhood. >> this resident wasn't comfortable showing his face on camera. >> definitely changes. i have a dog so i feel a little bit safer. >> reporter: the robbery at the on ramp near eighth street is still being investigated. after a string of attacks like this one on aging seniors they have identified a person of interest in chinatown.

a person has been arrested on an unrelated criminal case. as we report, some community members worry that it will cause divisions between african- american and asian americans. >> reporter: allowed festival celebration marks a sharp contrast. that's over the last two days. the lion dance and firecrackers are meant to ward off evil spirits. the chinatown chamber used the event to encourage shoppers to return since many people are frightened by recent attacks on seniors. they also passed out public safety flyers. >> all communities, we are one community. so, let's work together. >> reporter: they are calling

from our camera taking a look out over the salesforce camera. you can see this right here. this is coming back out towards the west. it is subtle but there's a little bit going out there. you have to get up towards the coast. find a bit of patchy fog. we aren't seeing any here although there is a little bit of stratus. certainly not here either. current numbers are cold enough in the north bay down to the middle 30s that that's where we'll find the fog. then to about 8/10 of a mile for santa rosa. there is a half-moon bay down to about a half a mile as well. so, keep that in mind as you're about to hit the road. we'll talk about these temperature trends. first, let me leave you with some of those headlines. it's going to be sunny and warm again today it will be slightly cooler as we go into the week,

no more of the lower 70s by tomorrow. and then a light rain chance for late in the week. we have all that in a few minutes. to children who police they were abducted in san francisco are safe. the suspect is on the list. they say she and her brother went inside and asked-year-old boy. the father left the engine running while he had made a food delivery. it was just before 9:00 p.m. a suspect drove off triggering an amber alert. at 1: 15 a.m. they were still inside when the car was found. cvs stores are administering vaccines. the pharmacy saying it will now open online bookings starting on february 11. the shots will be given more than 120 different locations. starting on the 12th.

this is now down in san jose. looking at downtown. we are still about let's see, about 20 minutes away from the official sunrise. this is often time some of the prettiest light that you get. this is looking out over dublin. it is 39 in livermore. if you go up north it is 33 and santa rosa. if you look at the visibility map you can see it's down to less than a mile. now, napa you have improved a little bit. half when they got a big improvement. keep in mind, the fog was flush around on these mornings. plan on the possibility for light fog. we are starting out sunny. here come the clouds by sunset. so, they don't shop until we get to about 5:00 p.m.

you will have nothing but blue sky. and a few high clouds will come in by the time we get to about 6:00 p.m. to give us a pretty sunset. the other thing that changes today, it is subtle when you look at it on the map but it will be noticeable for the changes earlier this week. right now we have an offshore flow. all those clear skies, you can see it showing you because we are pulling that from the delta. you're going to see a complete reversal on monday as the onshore flow turns on. this is how we start to cool down. it is also how he will, perhaps, pull in those clouds in the mornings. but for monday, we will probably see some of that getting pulled in. it isn't here yet. these are just like yesterday. middle to upper 60s. 67 at clinic santa clara. we will see these temperatures

in the far east bay go to the upper 60s. 65 in vallejo. topping out at 67 in berkeley today. 61 in san rafael. there is a 70 for cloverdale. the winds will go to the upper 60s for daytime highs. small chance of rain by the end of this week. the second half of thursday through friday morning will be the first chance. the next and get your saturday into sunday. the only issue is none of those look that impressive. there is a small chance we could get light rain. they shouldn't have huge impact on the rainfall deficits for us. and it's a little bit too early to start banking on the idea that it's going to rain thursday friday and saturday. there are small opportunities for light rain. that's the best way to think about this. we really need this in his february. but in the meantime, plenty of sunshine.
