we're learning more about the arrest of a woman accused of assaulting an uber driver sunday in this video, police arrested malaysia king two days after the incident for allegedly making a fake id to make a transfer at bank of america. police detained the 24-year-old to charge her with burglary. she is the one in red in this video and she faces assault charges over the uber incident safro haveen arrestwarrant, sh woman on the right of the screen, her lawyer said she plans to tuyourself in. president biden says his newly enacted covert relief law will strengthen the working class and he also says he wants to make sure it doesn't lead to

family of a man who jumped off the bay bridge after a multicar crash wednesday night, they been putting up posters on the 25-year-old on the embarcadero looking for him. his cousin says he grew up in san francisco and recently moved to hayward with his mother and was suffering from mental health issues.>> we are hoping to find his body and to bring closure for his mother. >> this crash prompted shutdown on the westbound lanes. and aggressive coyote known for terrorizing people in contra costa county has been trapped and euthanized. he was captured in a padded leg hold trap thursday in by representative from the us department of agriculture. it will be tested for rabies at uc davis, they liked that coyote to attack on a three- year-old last month and for other people in different incidents, all attacks occurred within a 2 mile area along the lafayette morocco corridor. a pilot is on solid ground making emergency landing in the

welcome back, a live looked for san jose's skyline this morning, a little cloudy in the time right now is 6:12 am. the elaborate outdoor dining setups in san francisco may be here to stay. mayor london breed announced a plan to make sure spaces for dining and road closures permanent. friday night lights were finally back on as lvage a delayed football system. at freedom high school and only the football team played its first game in about a year. and not just the players got a cheer team tried to rally a

subdued crowd, no fans are technically allowed but last night freedom high school allowed two observers for each player.>> and observer is a parent or guardian from the household.>> it is great for the kids and they needed this.>> a lot of people are hurting and this is a chance to start dusting ourselves off and getting back to normal.>> football has now restarted and freedom high is about to start in-person classes next week mixed with distance learning. santa clara county is warning about the dangers from freezing temperatures this weekend, especially the homeless. outreach t k on encampments and distribute blankets, county officials a people without housing are at risk of hypothermia when nighttime temperatures drop below freezing. the gilroy armory shelter has this available.>> the real cold morning will be early next week and by the time we get to tuesday will see more widespread called. we are getting a little help today in terms of the temperatures this morning because of the clouds. you can see from our camera on

top of the salesforce tower we're waking up with a low deck of stratus clouds over much of the bay area. it looks more of a summer pattern that it typically would for us to the winter. the view over the tri-valley shows the same view. a lot of low clouds here and if you want to see if there any issues with this on the temperatures, no one is in the 30s and everyone is in the 40s so it is up to temperatures relatively warm and by doing that it helps limit any fog forming on the roadways. look at the visibility sensor. the only place that might have a minor issue on here is nampa and they are about one or excuse me cut 3/10 of a mile. other than that everyone else is okay as far as the fog. there is the marine layer and it burns off by late morning. as gray as it is right now will have sunshine most of the day and temperatures let me back into the low to mid 60s in spots, topping out is 54 around hundred and 62 in san jose, inc.

watcont the peninsula, or even the immediate bay got the wind will pick up by the early afternoon but most locations should not notice a whole lot in terms of the wind. let's talk about the rain, that comes tomorrow and we time on the leading edge of the showers which makes it to the north bay and this is tomorrow, but then rain begins tomorrow early afternoon in the north bay and the showers march across the entire bay area with the best of the rain moving right over the city and the east bay by the time we get to sunset. then it clears south bay by the time we get to midnight or little before. so the second half of the day tomorrow widespread rain or the bay area and a interesting item shows up with that bull's-eye down over mount hamilton and mountains of the south bay.

not a lot of snow but a light dusting of snow again is the system moves through and what we saw taking us into very early monday morning, will have a few leftover showers, and isolated thunderstorms on monday morning, but very few. we could see small hail but it would not be widespread. it's possible for early monday and we add up how much ram we will get for the second half of sunday and mondays showers the numbers are pretty good. we could get one 10:45 inch of rain and maybe more around some spots as the system moves through.. tuesday will be cold in the mornings as the system clears out even though you don't see too much standing out tuesday but that will be the morning when we see temperatures dipped down into the upper 30s in many places. the next chance of rain shows up by the end of next week and we will have more on that as we get closer to it.>> we definitely need the rain and

the window was closing for us for the season.>> yeah once we get through the month of march that is the last month throughout the year where you can see the hope for significant addition of rain and it doesn't look like a whole lot is coming our way this month.>> we will take every drop. wineries in sonoma county are for monarch butterflies whose populations have plunged to a record low. the jordan winery is dedicating 8 acres to become a permanent monarch butterfly sanctuary. one of the directors of the winery said they could've planted more vines but they see a greater need to help keep the environment balanced.>> yeah we will have butterfly soon or that is the goal. >> they had just under 2000 monarchs and that is a stark decline.>> the winery had a large successful honeybee operation and the hope to repeat that success with this new venture. women are making history

stabbed five people inside grace baptist church inside san jose and one of the survivors, a church volunteer, assuring history exclusively with us. he says he is more determined than ever to help in this original report. >> reporter: while the weather at this time of year is a bit unreliable there is one thing at columbus park in san jose you can count on. e to deliver food to the homeless.>> a try to get to know everyone by their first name and i get pretty upset with myself if i do not remember the name the second time i meet them.>> is one of the many ways that he treats people experiencing homelessness as a friend first. it is not easily earned. trust in this community is something he struggles with as well.>> it is more about trust issues, the theme of my dream is about trust issues and i myself still have ptsd about the incident, lots of

nightmares and scars on my face and neck.>> when he goes to sleep his subconscious takes him back to this night, in november he was one of five volunteers at grace baptist church to be stabbed by a homeless man he was happy to help and he has scars on his neck and she and had a blade stuck in his head for three hours at the hospital.>> was there moment you thought you made i?>> there was a moment. >> tw not survive but as soon as he started to hill heel he came back.>> about one week after the incident i started coming back. the moment that i pulled up to the park here, other homeless individuals started coming out and welcomed me and that is when i knew that coming back is not a bad idea.>> you have every reason to feel that you

alexandra lord said the smithsonian put out a call to the public soliciting ideas and photos and so far they've collected more than 600, documenting with the heartache and resilience of americans. how do you think this time in history will be remembered?>> really hard i think it will be seen as a major seminal event in american history and it will work time of before and after it does seem there will be radical changes in simple things and perhaps how we work on a day-to-day basis. but perhaps how we think about the inequities in our society.>> lord said that the question will help ensure that the impact of the pandemic is not forgotten nor the advances in medicine starting to pull the nation back from the most significant public health crisis in a century. natalie brand cbs news washington.>> the museum is still close to the public but eventually the vaccine artifacts will be part of a broader exhibit called in

sickness and in health which is for america's efforts to contain, control and cure illnesses.>> start with a big picture view of how our weather will change tomorrow. there is the next storm and plenty of rain is mixed in the clouds the future cast can see but it doesn't get here until tomorrow in the afternoon. we'll come back and look at this again in a second. it will not rain on saturday, sunday will rain but saturday we went up to gray skies, the tri-valley has a healthy batch of low stratus clouds covering the entire sky. same story from our view on top of the salesforce tower looking east, san jose has them as well. a great start to the day which has kept the temperatures relatively warm and when you get a nice blanket over you the temperatures don't drop, nobody is in the 30s except for napa where there is fog. and also run mendocino county the temperatures are down into the mid-30s and there is the visible issue for napa.

and for 2 miles that's okay, if you can see 2 miles down the road for that one reading at the airport that says we are doing okay but there will be patchy fog to prepare for if you have to be out on the road this morning up in the north bay especially napa. plenty of sunshine with daytime highs into the mid-60s inland. here comes the rain. timing that out and bring it forward tomorrow, by the time we get early afternoon got the leading edge of the showers has arrived in it takes its time over the rest of the day, the whole second half on sunday we will have rain over the bay area. here we are before midnight and is starting to clear the south bay. look on monday. early morning scattered showers and these will be different than sunday's rain. they showers that come in early monday morning will be scattered and even in isolated thunderstorms extend and small hail and by the time we get to

the late morning that will start to wind down for most of us that it is dropping like snow down on the mountains of the diablo range. right around mount hamilton. it will be cold enough we get a light dusting of snow upon the mountains. that takes us into the afternoon on monday. but really the majority of monday will be a quiet day for most. it will be steady rain second half of sunday, a few leftover showers early monday morning and that is it. adding it up rainfall totals are decent. we pick up half an rain in general if we are lucky for some of the more notable spots and there is the light snow falling on mount hamilton which doesn't amount to a whole lot but it is something to keep and eye on as it is worth talking about. much better snow in this year and we will get another additional foot of new snow up around on her pass. and that cold, it will be cold by tuesday morning. after the storm passes it will have dropped light snow around

mount hamilton, using san jose as in example, but the morning to do bottom out on tuesday with upper 30s in many locations and you do not see that in the seven-day forecast pc sunny and low to mid 60s for the afternoon as we rebound nicely much of next week. the next chance of rain is already showing up for the next week into next weekend, more on that in much more detail as we get closer so let's take tomorrow storm first. >> rainfall totals have not been great but what about the snowpack?>> have not been great, although a little better than the rain, we have had about 40% rain that we want a bit close to 60% snow in the sierra so it's worked out a little better they are. heavy rain in peru has displaced thousands and led to dramatic rescues. firefighters saved a woman who was trapped inside her house. evacuees north of the capital city of lima have been trying to cross a river to escape the flooding. heavy machinery is being sent
