it starts at 11:00 a.m. and in terms of parts of the bay area being impacted, it is mainly through solano county. that is the area officially included. if you look at wine country, the higher elevations are up through napa and sonoma experiencing some of these dry warming wins. in the meantime, we are waking up to clear skies. we have clear skies here as well. temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to the middle 50s. back over to you. >> looking live at the city of oakland, the streets are quiet but it was a different story last night. >> you may continue to protest.

>> around 70 protesters marched from downtown. they say a few people through bottles and cans injury to out of those seven arrests. but nonviolent protesters to continue the march. there were no reports of property damage. earlier in the day, a peaceful car caravans. i work and write an issue highlighted by the pandemic. some business owners did close early. >> you are fighting for peacefully with your mouth but not with your hands. you know not with breaking things. it won't solve anything. this is going to create more problems. >> the daytime protest focus on issues such as immigrant rights and housing security.

we had a crew near those protests last night and unfortunately a driver took off. the driver hit several other vehicles before crashing into a stop into an suv. they took the suspect into custody. taken to the hospital as a precaution doing okay this morning. details on the deadly shooting in wisconsin. three people are dead and another one is critically wounded. they believe that they are looking for a specific person. it happened around 7:30 p.m. it is run by a native american tribe of the same name on the western side of green bay. they described a chaotic scene as gunfire erupted and police rushed in. >> all of a sudden i heard that there was an emergency evacuation. as we were leaving, the police were coming in maybe two minutes later, you have 30 or 40 gunshots.

investigators are still working to look into those investigations. >> it is not a random shooting. targeting a specific thick victim. but he decided to shoot it. >> wisconsin attorney general twitter message just before 10:00 p.m. saying that the scene is contained. a 4.3 earthquake struck off the coast of northern california. it was located off of humboldt county. the sheriff's office says that there are no reports of injuries or damage. and this morning, the governor is getting strong support from

joe biden and harris as recall efforts mount against him. using her speech at the democratic party convention she showered praise on him thanking him for his leadership. >> i want to thank our friend and our governor for his leadership. we go back to being elected at the same time in san francisco many years ago and i will tell you, i have seen what a leader he is and how he puts his heart into his work. on behalf of us we support him 100%. >> as he fights an effort to be recalled, she says she supports him but didn't mention the recall specifically. we spoke to one of the leaders they say that the white house and their support doesn't mean anything. >> it doesn't matter what sh thinks or what president biden things. this is an issue between 40

million californians and their governor b the democrats have signed on the campaign and the independent voters who signed the petition >> for his part, he is criticized the recall effort is a power grab by "extreme right- wingers. developments in the shooting on monterey county. after his arrest, he admitted to launching the projectiles on highway 101. they say that they recorded as many vehicles hit in 2019. thankfully no crashes were reported among those drivers who had their windows broken out. but about a half dozen people were injured by broken glass. the 54-year-old is due back in court next month. tens of thousands of inmates will have an opportunity for early prison release.

and pleasese travelel responsibibly. new this morning, four astronauts are back on earth after making a splash in the predawn darkness. it happened after they undocked from the international space station. the space dragon capsule parachuted into the gulf of mexico carrying three american astronauts and one from japan. they had delayed it because of high wind. a shortage of tanker truck drivers is pushing up the price of gasoline across california. they say that 50 to 80% drop a dropping qualified drivers. but now more people are hitting the road during recovery they are having trouble keeping up with the demand.

it looks beautiful out there from our camera. this will looking to the south. this is looking down the east bay. so, temperatures have stayed relatively warm even in light of that fact. but, we are looking at temperatures that range right around 50 for most locations not a bad way to start the day. although, if you're on the coast, it is. we still have those gusts. but that will pick up throughout the day. you can see how the whole coast lit up once again. so, we still have an onshore wind that will make it windy at the beaches. anywhere near the water. the delta coming across the city. but, we shouldn't feel a whole lot inland. but what happens as we get to the later parts of the day.

there is a total wind shift that happens. all of the colors have disappeared. these are the northerly winds. look at these mountains. and into tomorrow. we could see gusts down on this range in the south bay. that's part of the red flag warning. the primary driver. it starts at 11:00 a.m. goes until tuesday at 5:00 p.m. as i mentioned, the mountains of the northbay wine country will be experiencing the wind. you can see how it picks up today. we saw that on the localized view. but it's helpful to see that this is a much larger pattern. this impact locally in that context is fairly limited. but nonetheless, it's still something that we notice. the letter on the colors around

here. tomorrow morning, it's the heart of this red flag warning. this is in the teens from many locations. in the northbay mountains. but, the number one reason why we have this warning isn't the wind, not the particular offshore wind event. although that is certainly what instigated the warning. it's the underlying fact of how dry we are. no news here and we know this story well. these are the dry landscapes that are really the reason why we are looking at the red flag warnings. daytime highs today, lower 80s if you are inland. as we look across the seven-day forecast, there is a warm-up coming our way. look at the temperatures into the 90 degree range.

>> headline in the forecast is the red flag warning this does include parts of solano county. in fact, we are going to see strong wind coming down through the delta. that may be the first time i've ever sneezed on air. we will see even drier when coming in over parts of the bay area. it could also be experiencing those higher elevations. this is something to keep in mind for the northbay mountains. in the meantime, look how clear it is. this is the golden gate bridge. we are all waking up to clear skies for the work of

new this morning, national food and security levels before the pandemic were the lowest they had been in 20 years but the need was still high. the communications director spoke with the bay area about how they are helping to feed around 260,000 people every month. the need in the bay area was quite high. this is brought people to the food bank and never needed our support before. during these challenging times, the food bank pivoted the services. we change how we got the food out. it was quicker, more efficient and safe. and we are serving on average,

100,000 more people a month then we were prior to the pandemic. a lot of folks are getting back to work but a lot of people are still suffering the effects whether it was reduced hours, a job loss, or perhaps they still haven't been able to pay and makeup. they are just there to make sure that they relieve a little bit of that stress. we are hosting our nearest gala driving to fight hunger at the drive-in. it is a drive-in theater. so, it seemed like a great chance to get them back together to raise those much- needed funds. and maybe have a little bit of fun. >> if you want to get involved, you can volunteer. their annual fundraiser gala will be at the westwind solano

afternoon on sunday, and i let this go into the evening and overnight, there is a complete win reversal. they can see them coming down on the other side of the mat. the northwind is really whipping over the northbay mountains. but those wins will be north, they'll be relatively warm and relatively dry. that is important for the northbay mountains. there is your reduced humidity levels. we're going to see those numbers plummet down into the teens. that's also the primary driver. daytime highs today, we will be in the lower 80s for daytime highs. we will keep the numbers in the upper 50s and lower 70s in the immediate bank. that shows up in the seven-day

forecast. it has those climbing into the lower 90s. we will keep the temperatures in the lower 80s and through the bay. even noticing the warm-up at those beaches into the lower to middle 60s. >> is there anything that people in those areas can do perhaps to prevent something or perhaps something they shouldn't do quack >> that's a great question. often times, i think most people say, what am i supposed to do with that? primarily they are issued for those who are on the front lines of fighting fires. they are usually the ones who pay the closest attention. but if you live in a rural area and you've got things that you can do to make sure that you got protective space around your home or if you are working with equipment near dry grass, you're the type of person who should really take note of

thousands of demonstrators were out in san francisco rallying along market street. gunfire erupted last night in the casino in green bay, wisconsin. there are two people dead and another wounded. investigators believe that the shooter was initially looking for a specific person the governor is getting support from national democrats as he fights a recall attempt. the vice president praised him and thanked him for his leadership as she spoke to the state party convention. a capsule made a successful splash bringing them back to earth in the gulf of mexico. the trip from the international space station have been put off for several days because of high wind. a very clear view of the golden gate bridge. we are dealing with any fog bay area wide. it's going to be a little bit warmer for most places. back to you.
