good morning. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. we begin with president biden's month of action. his administration is pulling out all the stops to hit a covid weekawayion goal that just he wants 70% of all u.s. adults to get at least one shot by july 4th. right now nearly 63% of adults are partially vaccinated, but the number of new people getting shots is slowing down. laura podesta is in new york. how is the president trying to change the minds of hesitant americans? >> reporter: good morning, anne-marie. president biden is partnering with private companies in order to provide incentives like free beer, free sports tickets, and even free childcare. the white house says it's taking a one-by-one approach to convince people to get their shots, similar to a political campaign. they'll be going door to door, knocking on those doors and ma sple at getng a shot is very

custom shotguns away. >> reporter: president biden said americans shouldn't take vaccine availability for granted. >> all over the world people are desperate to get a shot. >> reporter: the head of the world health organization noted just .4% of all vaccines have been administered to low-income countries. >> this is epidemiologically and economically unacceptable. >> reporter: yesterday a handful of wealthier nations promised nearly $2.5 million to support global vaccination efforts. by the end of this month the biden administration says it will have donated 80 million vaccine doses to other countries. we should learn more about the global vaccination effort next week when biden heads to the g7 summit in england. anne-marie? >> all right. laura podesta in new york. thanks a lot, laura. there are new developments in the cyberattack against the world's largest meat supply. jbs says production should resume at all of its plants today. the co

the u.s. earlier this week following a ransomware attack on sunday. cbs news confirmed the prime suspect is a russian-based group called pinchy spider. if they don't pay up there's no leak. so far there's no leak in the jbs case. >> a lot of times if you don't see a leak but you know that there's an incident, it could mean that there's a negotiation going on. pay the ransom or the ransom has been paid. >> reporter: another attack hit massachusetts steam ship community yesterday delaying ferries, and the new york subway system confirmed it was attacked in april by chinese hackers but contained the damage. the manhunt for three people behind a mass shooting in miami may be expanding. new video suggests that there are more suspects. manuel bojorquez has the latest on the investigation.

>> reporter: a closer look at surveillance video reveals the possibility of an additional shooter or shooters in the attack that killed two people and injured 21 after a rap concert sunday. miami-dade police previously released this video of the suv used in the shooting, and three masked man with assault-style rifles and handguns opening fire on the crowd. in the newest clip, you can see what appear to be flashes of gunfire from another vehicle in the parking lot. in a statement, miami-dade police said "we are aware of the video that is circulating on social media platforms, and detectives are investigating the possibility of multiple shooters." detectives believe the attack was part of a dispute between two groups with innocent concert-goers like ka'dedra thomas who was shot in the back, caught in the crossfire. >> it really felt like i was in a movie. seeing people dropped like that, it was females, people like me

that had nothing to do with it. you go shooting a crowd of people? that's wicked. >> reporter: police recovered the suv used in the shooting. it had been reported stolen two weeks earlier and was abandoned in a canal. adding to the confusion here, police say some in the crowd fired back when the shooting started at the shopping center. the parking lot was covered with evidence markers after the attack. the two men who died were just 26 years old. manuel bojorquez, cbs news, miami-dade county, florida. israel's longest serving leader, prime minister benjamin netanyahu, could soon be ousted. netanyahu led israel for 12 years. his rivals reached a deal form a new government. the agreement still needs to be approved by parliament. that vote is expected to happen early next week. churchill downs officials have suspended hall of fame horse trainer bob baffert for two years. the action comes after a second blood sample from his horse r e

trained by baf o baffert stables can race at any track owned by churchill downs through 2023. spended for being stupid, this was stupid. you don't mess with franchise. the derby is such a big deal to churchill downs. they really can't afford to have this tarnished. >> baffert, whose horses had five medical violations over the past year alone, has also been banned indefinitely from racing in new york including this weekend's belmont stakes. no deal yet on infrastructure. president biden will talk again tomorrow, though, with gop negotiator, lead negotiator, senator shelley moore capito. they met yesterday for nearly an hour ahead of a deadline monday to show progress. at issue, the price tag and how to fund it. president biden is proposing a $1.7 trillion measure which is almost double the gop counteroffer.

"the orlando sentinel" reports two children escaped from a juvenile home and got into a shoot-out with volusia county sheriff's deputies. >> female has a shotgun in her hand. stand by. put the gun down now! [ gunshot ] >> body camera video shows the dramatic moments from tuesday as the deputy hid behind a tree as shots were fired. authorities say a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy broke into a house where they found weapons and ammunition inside. the sheriff says the kids fired multiple times over a span of 45 minutes. he says deputies shot the girl after she raised a shotgun at them. the boy was armed with an ak-47 when he surrendered. he was questioned about what they were thinking.

>> he advised that the 14-year-old made a statement "i'm going to roll this down like gta," referring to the video game "grand theft auto." he stated that the female fired multiple shots at deputies who were outside of the residence. he noticed green dots were on him. so he fired a double barrelled shotgun at deputies, as well. >> the girl was critically wounded. no deputies were hurt. and the "herald sun" reports duke basketball coach mike krzyzewski will retire at the end of the upcoming season. the 74-year-old has won more games than any coach in division one history. next season will be his 42nd at duke where he's led them to five national championships. former duke player and associate head coach john scheyer will become head coach after krzyzewski steps down. still ahead, shoppers, get ready. amazon announces its annual prime day sales event, and it's just around the corner this

>> reporter: what a toss, anne-marie. my goodness. from amazon to cicadas. all right. we're going to bookmark the cicadas, come back to those. let's start with this -- the labor market will be in full focus today. adp will release its report on private payroll changes for may, and the labor department will be out with the new weekly jobs data. stocks ended yesterday above the flat line. the dow gained 25 points. the nasdaq added 19. the s&p 500 was up 6. the fda is out with a warning against eating cicadas. the agency tweeted that people with seafood allergies should not eat the bugs since the insects share a family relation to shrimp and lobster. the brood x cicadas which emerge every 17 years surfaced this month in several states. the critters have inspired culinary creations that use the bugs as the main ingredient. one large bank is now the first in the nation to stop charging overdraft fees. ally financial says it's ending its $25 overdraft fees across

here's a look at the forecast in some cities around the country. ♪ the u.s. military is apologizing after american soldiers accidentally stormed a sunflower oil factory in bulgaria during a multinational nato training exercise. surveillance video from last month shows soldiers from the army's 173rd airborne brigade holding guns as they move around the factory. the army says that the soldiers thought the building was part of a decommissioned airbase where they were training. no weapons were fired. bulgaria's president condemned the incident. nasa is heading back to venus. the space agency says that it will launch two spacecrafts between 2028 and 2030 to study the atmosphere and map its surface. the last time nasa reached venus was in 1990.

venus is slightly smaller than the earth but a lot hotter. temperatures there can reach 880 degrees fahrenheit. and getting ready to host the european soccer championship. lego wanted to do something special. this week the company unveiled what it calls the world's biggest lego soccer ball. the 2.5-ton ball was built by lego employees at a facility in denmark during the pandemic lockdown. >> it's really great that we've been like able to utilize our time during lockdown where we haven't been able to have any guests. then we have this like amazing building activity where we can really turn something into this giant football. i'm really excited to see it happen. >> it took the workers including cleaners, kitchen staff, and even the ceo 150 hours to construct the giant ball. they used more than 173,000 lego bricks to make it.
