6:15 am
weather watchers or red flag warnings we've had so far this season this one is going to make it windy down into the lower elevations as well. meaning in the communities where we all live there is a wind advisory in place for monday. it's not going to be windy today. tomorrow will be, we can see gusts up to 50 miles an hour here and it's bay area wide. i will show you with is winds will look like, we will start out on sunday, play through the day nothing really happens today, relatively calm and then here we are, that is monday dark and early, the screen has lit up, not only are missing the gusts in the 46 mile an hour range, but as you look down below that look at santa rosa. gusting to 36 miles an hour prince of that's how monday starts . windier in the north bay, and the city peninsula here, not quite as windy for places like san jose we will see the winds pick up in places like concorde and livermore is weak into the afternoon on monday. by tuesday things will start to calm down. but it's with the going to be monday morning, monday afternoon, when the winds pick up the strongest.
6:16 am
monday afternoon would be the timeframe for those valleys in the east bay. and for the strongest winds. you can see how the humidity levels of liquid to drop off watch the screen kind of go white it right there that is monday afternoon. relative humidity is go down into the teens for most locations. so, there are the ingredients that you need for prior weather. in the meantime, this system will, likely be able to drop a light dusting of snow this year. that's less than an inch. but the fact that it's dropping little bit of snow up there is nice, it tells us that the system wasn't too far inland, but it's not enough precipitation to have consequences morning lows will be in the 50s this morning, as we look ahead and today's highs, back up into the low 80s. so today, we are not looking at any issues for sunday, no wind today. and it will be sunny, and it will be relatively warm. today will be the nicer day of the next several days.
6:17 am
then we warm up going towards the end of the 70 forecast watch what happens by the time we get to friday and saturday. san jose is going back up to 80, equals done in the upper 60s by tuesday and wednesday but you are back up into the low 80s by the time we get to friday and saturday and in the 70 forecast, the temperatures for the inland valley's on the east bay do the same thing. cooling down for the early part of the week and then you warm right back and mid 80s by the time we get toward the end of next week. >> what do we think the winds are going top out at? >> i think for the communities of the north bay, and the inland east bay, we should be prepared for gusts up to like 40 to 45. that's enough to bring branches off of trees, maybe some flying debris and here's where it gets more interesting localized power outages from that so we always think about the psps's. as of the shut off that pg&e will do type fire starts but but you can get localized power outages in a wind advisory in a totally different scenario.
