interesting is to look at the% of average for the month of october so far. and that is in relation to the average the enre month. for the rainfall that we have gotten in the last week we've already doubled what we typically see in the month of october for san francisco. san jose, you will catch up. you only at about four the% of average but you will get involved in the sunday rainmaker in october. that is a look at high doppler, plenty of rain on the coast right now but we see showers arrive by late morning. that gets us ahead to the light shower at any point today. as we get into the evening intensity the drain will pick up and that is the leading edge of sunday's far more impressive rain. let's watch that play out on the future cast, you will take advance this right now.

that is sunday morning, at 4:30. as we watch that progression it is kind of like a garden hose just pointed right at the bay area, we just went from 4:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon, that was 12 hours. fairly steady rain as we play that forward from there, that was from 4:30 in the afternoon, right there, to 4:30 in the morning on monday. in other words, nearly a solid 24 hour period. where rain is occurring in the bay area. granted it will not rain for 24 hours straight, but there will be rain in the area of the bay area, in general, for that period of time. when you add it all up for sunday just looking at the sunday rainfall totals, that prince is anywhere from a range of two to six inches. now this brings and concerns for flooding and there is a couple ways to think about the flooding concerns, there are primary concerns for you in your neighborhood which would be the likelihood of getting flooding in the streets and roadways, low-lying intersections. gutters that may be haven't been

cleared out to be a vulnerability to flooding during this period of time. of course are burn scars in the mountains which is why we have a flood watch on the burn scars of the mountains of the north bay and east and south bay. the othe this, this is the wind. there is your strong gusts that pick up through the late morning and into the early afternoon, a wind advisory that goes along with this, as well. through sunday, a areawide with gusts up to 35 miles an hour, we have already seen a number of trees get blown over, be areawide. with stronger wind and heavy rain, that is also going to be a likely scenario as we get into sunday. so, by the time we get into monday things will have quieted down and we still have rain left over for monday morning but once we get past monday into next week things get quieter and scattered showers stay with us into tuesday and wednesday of next weekend. >> what is the likely.

a bit from his mother. >> reporter: the movie set is quiet, production is on pause. baldwin is said to be cooperating with investigators, he has also released a statement saying he is heartbroken and in shock. in fremont, kpix five. we do have a lot of rain coming our way, let's get straight into the forecast, we will talk about saturday first, because it is a light rain for saturday. but it is still sunday when the main event happens. here is with the doppler, you can see the rain off the far northwest coast. not here yet. it gets by the late morning into the early afternoon. it is primarily focused on the north bay today, so from noon until one a clock, and it will probably barely be measurable, but we will get rain throughout the day before we get into sunday's main event. i don't want to overlook that, you could get maybe 2/10 of an inch of rain. some models are depicting more rain than i think we are likely

going to get in this scenario, but be advised it is possible. there is our big picture view of this, and what i want to do is come back in for a somewhat more close in and detailed perspective on the rain. i will bring this back we will start it as we get to sunday, right there. by tomorrow morning at 1:00 a.m. we have already seen the rain arrive, right through the heart of north bay, let's advance that forward and we will watch it pick up in taking over much of the bay by late morning on sunday. this is when primetime gets going. for the most impressive part of this, but if we advance this from 9:30 on, watch what happens, that line of rain works its way across the heart of the bay and doesn't clear the south bay until we get through the commute at this point. that is, the longest case

scenario, for how long this rain could go. it is a long-duration event, is the take away. on the high side of the forecast. on the lower side, you will get some breaks in the rain tomorrow, but we really have to come away from this and in a 24 hour period just about midnight, it's good to take into what the possible outcome is for the landscape is so dry a lot of this will get absorbed, and it will not be a significant runoff event, in a major way, from this. we will see localized flooding from that in the usual spot and then the burn scar is in the mountains.

this past year, even from 2020, there has been little rain. the wind is a factor, there is a wind advisory areawide and that gets us into the late morning, and that will stay through us throughout the day enough to blow trees over, that means, perhaps, local power outages. that also means unexpected obstacles on the roadway if you happen to be out and about on sunday, be aware of that possibility. this is left over showers on monday morning and then it turns to scattered showers into the middle part of next week, and looking across the microclimate of the east and north become of the story is the exact same timing and the rain will must be equal across the area. >> we will almost assuredly see downed trees, power outages, localized flooding, any severe flooding or do you think we've been to dry up to this point? for that to be the result?
