>> 10 to 15 people down in the street. >> last night, community gathered. >> this is a small first step in healing. >> five people were killed. four part of the performance group called the dancing granies. others injured include several children. >> i remember the sounds of an engine revving as if the motorist was flooring it. jo brooks had been involved in a domestic incident minutes before h drove into the parade. >> we had barricades up and he drove right through. >> he has a criminal regard that dates back to 1999 and includes three felony gun charges.

earlier this month, he was accused of running over his child's mother with his suv. >> the youngest of the victims battling injuries this morning is just three years old. alise from new york, thank you. jury deliberations expected today in the hearing. the defense says they were trying to make a citizens arrest. >> ahmaud arbery's mother wept. one step closer to closure as closing arguments in the trial of the men accused of murdering her son. >> all three of these men made assumptions and made their decision to attack ahmaud arbery

in their driveways because he was a black man running down the street. >> prosecutor told the state's side that three men charged with murder could not have made a citizen's arrest because arbery could not have committed a crime. while chasing arbery through the neighborhood and confronting him. it was travis mcmichael, the man who pulled the trigger who committed a felony. >> imagine if armed robbers came in and said i had to protect myself. >> defense attorneys argued they were just defending themselves when they tried to detain arbery. >> travis trying to yank this gun. is there any question he is assaulting mcmichael. >> defense says he didn't pull the trigger and it was arbery's

actions that lead to the confrontation. he said he didn't know what was happening or that mcmichael had a weapon. >> if found guilty, they could fies life in prison. at least 48 million americans are expected to travel by car this thanksgiving holiday and they may get help with gas prices. a senior white house official confirms that president biden will announce today he's tapping into the strategic patrol petroleum reserve. to counter rising gas prices. the administration has been pushing countries including china and japan do the same. the national average has risen to $3.41 a gallon according to triple a. >> in the meantime, 41 million americans plan to fly. tsa says it is not concerned with staffing issues.
