bicycle. >> reporter: she said three masked people cornered her at noon. she jumped off her bike and ran into oncoming traffic. a good samaritan drove hear away from the gunmen. >> to have gun pointed at your face when you're out trying to enjoy nature and clear your mind, that is the worse possible experience. so upsetting and terrifying. >> reporter: after march 29th, police responded to two other robberies of mountain bicyclers on skyline boulevard near joaquin miller road. march 31st, robbers pulled a gun on a father and son to take their bike. april 6th, wednesday, robbers es frtwo clers ri the bicycling communit there is a fourth gunpoint robbery this week on a group of three bicyclers at the end of 62line boulevard. police have not confirmed the fourth case. >> we made the decision to move our practice location this one. >> reporter: morgan fletcher

lin, kpix 5. >> oakland police are putting officers in more areas where they're seeing spikes in robberies but the number involving guns is down compored to last year. -- compared to last year. san jose police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a mother and daughter and that happened thursday night on ocala avenue. the drive in a pickup hit them and captain on going. the truck was last seen heading north on capitolk pressway. the police released four pictures of the pickup. yet likely has front-end damage. >> you're responsible for two teethes and turn yourself in. take a statement and this is a tragic incident. hopefully, the person comes forward and is held accountable for what they did. >> the mother and daughter killed well just around the corner from where that were hi. three police officers will not face criminal charges in the case of a man who died after being punned to the

ground during an arrest. and they confronted mario gonzalez last april. a neighbor called and said he was acting e ritically and officers suspected him of shoplifting from a northbound store. gonzalez died after the officer pinned him down for more than five minutes. an autopsy report ruled the death was a homicide but the medical examiner said the meth in the system was the primary cause of death and to upped that physical stress from that restraint played a role. is not the family of gonzalez filed two federal civil rights lawsuits against the sea. and to the coronavirus. state public health finishes have issued new quarantine guidelines. people are no longer encouraged to quarantine. that is in line with cdc recommendations. however, unvaccinated employees at high-risk settings like jails andet shoulders are still recommended to quarantine for

five days if they exposed and even if not showing symptoms. >> california's test positivity rate is seeing a slight jump. it's 1.7%, a 0.4% jump from seven days ago. and covid test case rates in california are on a sleet increase. the positivity rate climbed a helpful percent. hospital situations remain low. kpix 5s andrea nakano looks at the status from a possible transition from pandemic to endemic. >> reporter: the demand for vaccines dropped steeply with many clinics cutting back hours or closing altogether. the question is how ready is the bay area for the next stage of the endemic? >> we're at the lowest level of vaccines anywhere in the country. >> reporter: while there are concerns of another wave of coronavirus infections due to the ba.2 variant, short of other mandate the push to get vaccinated might be ending. >> honestly, if the individuals
