far out. nasa shows first image captured by the strongest telescope ever put in space. what the stunning pictures reveal about our universe. good morning and good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. the january 6th committee will hold its seventh public hearing today. this time it will focus on possible connections between the trump white house and far right extremist groups. bradley blackburn is in the newsroom with details. bradley, good morning. >> good morning. we knew the committee is looking closely at a tweet from president trump ahead of the attacks on the capitol. committee members have described that tweet as a siren call that extremist groups answered when they went to washington on january 6th. cbs news has learned that two witnesses will testify at today's house select committee. former oath keeper spokesman jason van tatenhove will address the panel. stephen aayres will also testif.

with their former white house counsel pat cipollone. according to witnesses, he tried to prevent president trump from working with the election results. on january 6th he worked to stop him from joining the mob at the capitol. the committee had planned a second hearing in prime time on thursday. that's now been delayed. they're making adjustments as new details emerge and new witnesses step forward. cbs news will carry today's january 6 hearing live at 1:00 p.m. you can also watch it on cbs news' streaming platform. there are new calls to release the video from the uvalde school mass shooting. governor gregory abbott says the public must know the truth. >> everyone has the right to know 100% of the facts.

newspaper shows the gunman shooting into the classroom as he walks in. a hail of gunfire continues, and in between, screams. within the first half hour, dozens of officers were armed with at least 13 rifles and one shield. three more shields came later, but no one entered the classroom for over an hour. >> one of the things that i requested over the last several days is a part of our committee report have a video attached to it and made public. the department of public safety and the mayor of uvalde both agreed to that. >> reporter: but the uvalde district attorney has objected to releasing the video as the investigation continues. at the white house, frustrations are also boiling over as president biden was interrupted by a father of the parkland school shooting as he spoke about the reform gun law.

temple in tokyo. yesterday people waited in long lines to pay their respects for the longest serving member in japanese history. abe was shot and killed last week while giving a campaign speech. police say a man was found living in a museum. and a british track star made a startling revelation. those are some of the stories on today's newsstand. the bbc reports olympian mo farah repeats he was brought over to the uk from djibouti by a woman he didn't know when he was just 9 years old. he says he thought he was going to live with family in europe and instead was forced to serve as a servant, doing housework and watching children. he was given the name mo farah and was eventually put in a foster facility and put with a foster family.

a man was under arrest after he was living in a children's museum and hoarding a stash of weapons. he with a woman and two children were living there. among the weapons was an ak-47 and handguns all within reach of the kids. >> officers did return back to the children's museum. they were able to retrieve several guns. of very high concern, silencers as well as drug indicia. the couple has been fired and the museum is temporarily closed. and "the washington post" is reporting the world is getting a lot more crowded with the total to hit 8 billion by november. that's accorded to the united nations. this comes after it hit its lowest rate in 2020. a new report also says india will likely surpass china as the most populous country in the world by next year.

or fragrances here's a looked a today's fore here's a look at today's forecast in some cities around the country. spacex is looking into an explosion during a ground test in texas. take a look. the company was testing its super-heavy rocket booster yesterday when the blast happened. it was so strong that it shook cameras recording from a distance. now, there's no word on what caused the explosion. spacex ceo elon musk said a team will assess the damage. the booster will possibly one day list the starship rocket into orbit around earth.

some 79% of traveler so far have experienced at least one travel-related problem this year. the biggest headache they reported, unexpected travel costs, prices that were higher than people were accustomed to. other problems, long waits, hard-to-find availabilities, and poor customer service. and subs on the house. as part of subway's new series of 12 new subway sandwiches, the chain is giving away 1 million away from 10:00 to 12:00 local time. subway says from here on out customers can choose from the series or opt to build their own. that is your "cbs moneywatch" report for this tuesday morning. i'm matt pieper, cbs news, new york. ahead of the nfl season, there are some big changes for the pittsburgh steelers. the name of their home stadium has changed from heinz field to acrisure stadium.
