far out. nasa shows first image captured by the strongest telescope ever put in space. what the stunning pictures reveal about our universe. good morning and good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. the january 6th committee will hold its seventh public hearing today. this time it will focus on possible connections between the trump white house and far right extremist groups. bradley blackburn is in the newsroom with details. bradley, good morning. >> good morning. we knew the committee is looking closely at a tweet from president trump ahead of the attacks on the capitol. committee members have described that tweet as a siren call that extremist groups answered when they went to washington on january 6th. cbs news has learned that two witnesses will testify at today's house select committee. former oath keeper spokesman jason van tatenhove will address the panel. stephen aayres will also testif.

with their former white house counsel pat cipollone. according to witnesses, he tried to prevent president trump from working with the election results. on january 6th he worked to stop him from joining the mob at the capitol. the committee had planned a second hearing in prime time on thursday. that's now been delayed. they're making adjustments as new details emerge and new witnesses step forward. cbs news will carry today's january 6 hearing live at 1:00 p.m. you can also watch it on cbs news' streaming platform. there are new calls to release the video from the uvalde school mass shooting. governor gregory abbott says the public must know the truth. >> everyone has the right to know 100% of the facts.

newspaper shows the gunman shooting into the classroom as he walks in. a hail of gunfire continues, and in between, screams. within the first half hour, dozens of officers were armed with at least 13 rifles and one shield. three more shields came later, but no one entered the classroom for over an hour. >> one of the things that i requested over the last several days is a part of our committee report have a video attached to it and made public. the department of public safety and the mayor of uvalde both agreed to that. >> reporter: but the uvalde district attorney has objected to releasing the video as the investigation continues. at the white house, frustrations are also boiling over as president biden was interrupted by a father of the parkland school shooting as he spoke about the reform gun law.
