>> the police are trying to check down suspects in two separate shootings in downtown oakland early saturday. first, just after midnight near 14th and webster, the second was around 3:00 am your 70 that broadway. four people were shote died. another is a great condition. the shootings happened near several clubs and restaurants, busy areas. businesses in the area tell us the violence is what is keeping customers away. > >> many business owners are deag with gun violence. >> i have seen a major dramatic drop. 75%, almost 80%, businesses have dropped. >> reporter: this nightclub business has taken a dive compared to a few years ago. >> this is a 2400 square foot b.

>> reporter: oscar edwards of the downtown club which has a rt on the second floor. they were t hard by the pandemic. >> when you add violence, that makes everybody not want to go out. >> reporter: he believes the two two shootings will prevent more customers from returning to downtown businesses. >> we will see a decrease in weeks to come. nobody wants to lose their life. >> reporter: a shooting deadly injured a man on webster street around 12:15 a.m. a exchange of gunfire broke out between a victim and a thief. three hours later, a drive-by shooting killed one man and injured two others on broadway. even though they are a few blocks apart, the the two shootings are not conne. not connected. >> one shooting took place in front of four of my venues. >> reporter: this club has seen a 75% drop in business compared to a few years ago. he owns three clubs in downtown oakland. oakland. >> basically you get people who are scared to come out to downtown. they are afraid of th. they do not want to go to the venues. >> reporter: club owners say thy

should help open the door to more resources but it is also symbolic. >> saying it is a public health emergency makes americans realize that he or she are potentially impacted by what is happening right now in one population. >> reporter: cases have shown up shown up in men who have sex with men. anyone can get infected with monkeypox. the virus primarily spreads by skin to skin contact or exposure to contaminated clothing or bedding. nationwide, people continue to line up hopeful thel be able to get vaccinated as the is a shortage of available doses. >> there is a huge demand. it is is feeling anxiety. a lot of people are changing plans. a lot lot of people are feeling frightened. >> reporter: the san francisco department of public health said said it will receive 10,000 doss of the vaccine. this will be available for distribution starting on tuesday. in san francisco, kpix 5. >> the vaccine could come right now and it will not come at a better time as the shortage is forcing people to cross the canadian border to get the shot. the shot. sums it was easier too debt that and get it here. >

sounding an alarm after thousans of the box the bike stopped working. we investigate. >> reporter: they were supposed to be a climate friendly solution for commuters around richmond. it was also in a dozen dozen other cities across the c. francisco carlos says these you bikes by a startup called bulk were a bust. >> i was pretty let down. it tok me forever. it was really slow. i am frustrated. >> reporter: this was the bike e tried to rent. it was one of 250 250 you bikes installed throughout richmond less than a year ago. it was meant to make fransisco and others get around the city cheaply. this was as gas prices skyrocketed. it was a was a nice plan that fell flat. nobody knows exactly when or hot the bikes got a bug. they simply simply stopped working. some people called the mayor and he got the wheels turning.
