i'm anne-marie green. we begin with the continuing questions of the papers seized earlier this month. trump's legal team wants a new special master appointed to oversee the documents review to ensure any material protected by attorney client privileges are set aside but a court filing yesterday indicates that the justice department has already completed its review and did not find documents protected. bradley blackburn is in. >> reporter: the legal wrangling continues. the judge is appointed to appointing a special master. they have already started assessing the potential security risks in the president's handling of very sensitive papers. >> investigators reviewing papers seized from former president trump's home said they found a limited number of

documents that could be covered by attorney-client privilege. sources say that helps make their case for an outside attorney or special master to be appointed to review the documents. >> they're going to try to get the judge involved, get a third-party special master involved to slow this down. >> today the justice department has a deadline to respond to the request for a special master. thursday they're set to hold a hearing. friday's release of the heavily redacted affidavit on the august 8th search reveals of the 15 boxes returned to the national archives in january, 67 documents were marked confidential, 92 marked secret and another 25 marked top secret. the affidavit also indicated that some of the documents may have contained information from cia spies or informants. >> this is the most sensitive material of the united states intelligence community. >> reporter: the office of the director of national

intelligence admiral haynes is leading a review to determine any potential risks to national security. and now former president trump is seeming to reach out directly to rank and file fbi agents. yesterday on his social media accounts he wrote, fbi, make america great again and asked when will agents say, quote, we aren't going to take it anymore. >> interesting. bradley blackburn, thank you. serena williams is not quite ready to say good-bye to tennis. she won her first round match last night at the u.s. open in straight sets. earlier this month williams said she was prepared to step away from playing. the u.s. open is expected to be her last tournament. cbs mornings co-host gayle king interviewed williams. >> what made you decide now as the time for you?

strike punched this giant knoll a fuel depot at the plant. ukraine's energy minister told us they want u.n. inspectors to take control of the situation. >> it's very important to create something permanent and to share the truth, to share the information from inside. >> reporter: a top level delegation has arrived in ukraine to inspect the plant which briefly lost power last week increasing fears of a catastrophic radiation disaster. the team will be here before heading off to zaporizhzhia before assessing the damage, security conditions and the conditions under which the ukrainian staff are working. one of the two people killed in a supermarket killing in bend, oregon, is being called a hero for confronting the gunman.

66-year-old safeway employee donald surret jr. tried to disarm the perpetrator. he was killed. moments earlier the gunman shot and killed an 84-year-old customer at the entrance of the store. >> surret engaged with the shooter, attempted to disarm him and may very well have prevented further deaths. mr. surret acted heroically. >> the 20-year-old gunman was found dead inside the store from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. nasa is trying to fix a number of problems on the new moon rocket. yesterday during countdown on the launch pad nasa was forced to scrub the first test flight of its giant artemis 1 rocket. first it found a leak of highly explosive hydrogen line and then it had a fuel leak.

"usa today" says melting ice from the greenland ice sheet will raise sea levels by a foot. the study published in the journal nature climate change says that the loss of ice is inevitable even if the world stopped burning fossil fuels today. the ice sheet will lose an estimated 100 trillion tons of ice. the study says the sea level increase could reach as much as 30 inches. the washington post reports brian robinson jr. was able to wrestle a firearm away during an attempted robbery. police say what they believe are two teenage suspects tried to rob the football player sunday in washington. robinson restless a firearm away from one assail land but the
