headline. widespread beneficiar. that's a good way to come away with a quick synopsis of what we expecting. we can handle this ad we will get up to an inch and some of the north bay committees committees and probably less frm the city and southward. but that but that is spread over two days. that's good rain. it's been about 30 years since we han had gotten that much rain in se. in september. it's probably won't break or tie records for sunday or monday. but the main impact will be wet roadways. this is the kind of rain that will get slick roads bay area wide. there will be brief downps brief downpours and some isolated thunderstorms. those are more likely on monday. the rain that we get on sunday, which is when we will get a steadier rainfall, shouldn't have the instability to allow for thunderstorms. but by monda, by monday, likely that does bece part of the story. we will look at this storm in its entirety coming up in the first alert forecast. in terms of saturday, it won't rain today. temperatures in the upper 50s now. we look at today's daytime

resolve out the arrival of the n as it turns into a well organized system off the coast. you can track the atmospheric rr atmospheric river showing up on the water vapor imagery. that shows us that this will have the the additional element of a weak weak to moderate atmospheric river which means better rainfall totals than typical for typical for this time of year. not record breaking but well above average for late september. so tomorrow morning in the predawn hours, we see the see the leading edge of the rain arrived in the north bay. we cn track where the cold front is on on that. that is the well organized line of widespread rain. it won't be like that for two days. this is the phase of the storm actually brings the widespread consistent rain for just about everybody at the same the same time. the cold front should watch it sweep across thy area. by the time i get to sunday morning, that line is now now exiting the south bay. once

we get past that line into sunday afternoon, it turns into more scattered on-again off-again showers. throughout sy and into monday and by the time we get to tuesday, we still have have a few left over showers. but tuesday things should begin quieting down. he was in the 70 forecast got there is a chance of rain on tuesday. if you add it all up, sunday and mondays rn in total, we are looking at about an inch and a half for the the north bay in general and when you look at the south bay or from the city suffered got you see the city gets three quas inch of rain. let's pull out some peninsula, east bay and south bay numbers. san jose getting a half inch of rain. livermore close to that. is bay communities doing the same. that same. that is the trend you seen most storms like this where the north bay gets noticeably more and the santa clara county and tri-valley gets less. daytime hs daytime highs in the mid to

result. and that's what it looke tomorrow morning. we are still 24 hours away from the rain but tomorrow morning through the afternoon is when the widespread widespread rain moves over the e bay area. it will turn to spotty spotty showers by tomorrow afternoon and evening. and then from sunday afternoon all the way through monday, that period of time, it will be on-again off-again showers. plenty of time when you don't get rain. but the likelihood for another shower to develop and move in ad and monday. then that starts to add up. primarily it is the sunday morning raid that gives us some of the bigger totals. but the scattered showers throut showers throughout sunday second second half of the day and monday keep adding on. by the time we're done, we are looking at nearly 1.5 inches in the norh bay. three quarters of an inch in the city and the east bay ans for the peninsula, south and east bay hills and try valley all coming up to half inch of
