7:43 am
northbay will get it first. look look at this organized line. this is the phase of the storm being driven in by the cold front that gives us the most widespread continuous rain. the more noticeable steady rain. it comes through the first part of sunday. it takes until late morning before that line clears the south bay. everybody gets it gets it through the morning on sunday. in the second half of the day and then we enter the nt phase. that is the isolated showers. the occasional pop up thunderstorms here. there will be a lot of thunderstorms with this but there would be some. you will get brief downpours if you happen to get one of those. but it will be on-again off-again. because of that there there will be more time from the the second half of sunday through monday when you're not g rained on then when you are. but are. but there will always be a possibility for the next shower to move in. the chance goes on again off again. when you take h of these phases of the storm, the steady rain from sunday morning with the i started thuns from sunday afternoon, you added added up and now you have pretty pretty good totals. an inch and a half of rain for the northbay showing up by the time we are
7:44 am
finished getting into late tuesday. coming down to the golden gate and southward, about about a quarter inch of rain in the city and the latest numbers have an optimistic half inch of rain coming into the south bay. that might be high but it's pose still at this point. no, you get get less totals here with a storm like this. it's usually the northbay that gets the best numbers and the rain tends to tail off as you go southward and and get a little rain shadow in the santa clara valley and farther inland. as far as saturday goes, it gets breezy this afternoon. temperatures will stay below average. only the mid to upper 70s for the daytime highs. watch the screen light not on saturday at noon. that's the only impact on us today. a little breezy. look how how different the wind will be on sunday. the screen will get brighter and the direction of the wind has shifted and that by afternoon, those are southerly . sunday gets a bit windy. this is is why we have got two first
