>> the fog was a factor today and it has thickened up throughe evening. it is still a shallow layer of fog. but it's been vert it's been very persistent, spreading out again this evening. it's going to gradually gradually retreat to the coast as we head through the day tomo. through the day tomorrow. temperatures are going to be in the mid-50s. but we are going to to warm up as the sunshine tries tries to peek through. the best chance of seeing that sunshine, like today, is from mid day to e early afternoon. that narrow channel of fog is peeking through the golden gate once again, which could potentially impact the path of the blue angels as they had to the show tomorrow at 3:00. likely the same scenario on sunday. there are changes in the forecast as we head into next week. especially for inland parts of the bay area. we will talk about about that in the full forecast. forecast. > >> sky got -- skyrocketing gas prices may be coming down and you may notice a pleasant surprise in your bank account. the state started handing out te

$17 billion inflation relief package today. while it will not offset the rising cost of inflation californians say evere bit helps. >> $91.91. which is crazy. >> the price at the pump is hitting californians hard. it's not just impacting the drivers. some gas station owners say they they are seeing a huge dip in cr spending. >> there used to be like $20. right now they are coming in with quarters, with coins. the used to come with dollars and now they come in with no money. >> reporter: while some drivers have to scrounge up change to fill up their tanks the middle-class tax refund, also known as the gas tax refund, will deposit anywhere from $200-$1050 into your account. >> >> i would appreciate it. to me it means, okay, the state sees the issue. they know that we'ven struggling.

over the landscape. near arizona actually set this in motion. that is incredible vo here. > >> we have this uninvited guest that keeps coming back to this . back to this airshow. >> the fog. it's a june weather pattern around the bay area. the the monsoon moisture led to the thunderstorms and that dust storm. also more typical june and october. everything is kind of out of whack. it will not change a whole lot as we head into the weekend. let's take a look at what we expect. foggy weather as we head through tonight. no major changes in the the forecast for tomorrow. it's still a continuation. this very june like weather pattern complete with the june gloom. it it was warm and hot today. that will be the case tomorrow. the fog in october will continue alg the coast. and near the golden gate, a narrow channel of fog makes its way around the angels. around the angels display. you can see the fog hanging out around downtown. the temperature temperature is 55 degrees there. there. 54 in santa rosa, 58 in . rosa, 58 in oakland. the other

temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s. everybody should drop drop down into the 50s later on tonight. the fog will continue spreading across the bay, reducing visibility for much of the bay area to begin the day on on saturday. the inland fog should not last too long. some patches of reduced visibility in in the santa clara valley by 10:00 a.m. that's how long it's going to last. except around the the bay, where it will take a bit longer. we will not complety shake it. near the golden gate were along the coast. a shallowr of fog. find yourself a rooftop or hill top somewhere and take in the big panoramic perspective. take a look at temperatures. tonight we will drop down into the 50s across the board. that's normal territory for october. temperatures on the afternoon hours on saturday, close around the bay. a few degrees below average. 70s for oakland. further inland, still several degrees above average. this is more of a june like weather pat.

in october the difference between the average weather in san francisco and the average temperature in concord, only about 10 degrees different. we will see a 20+ degree difference, even close to 30 degrees worth of difference from from the coast to farther inland. temperatures are backing backing down closer to normal by by monday, tuesday, and wednesd. beyond that, the 6 to 10 day forecast shows significant chance of above normal temperatures settling back in. this just tells us, above normal. it does not tell us how far above normal. it does not look like we will see anything in terms of ridiculous heat. jut of ridiculous heat. just slightly above average temperatures as we get through the first half. temperatures over the weekend do not change much from saturday to sunday. around the bay there is not muce is not much change as we head into the beginning of next week. week. inland, you will notice a cooldown back to normal temperatures in san jose. monday, tuesday, and wednesday, upper 70s. same thing with the inland in the north bay and east east bay. still warm. but is
