starts with city hall. a lot of workers are still working remotely, and business owners say they need to come back and set an example for other businesses in downtown. a group wants city leaders to assign a back to work pledge that asks to to fully reopen city hall. to bring more police foot patrols downtown to oakland, to reallocate parking meter funds to local business improvement districts, and to use that money money to hire more ambassadors downtown. for the city to also e also increase police officers up up to 900. right now there are only about 680. to implement an already past encampment plan. >> >> as we slowly emerge from the pandemic they are slightly suffering from crime that is rat is rampant in our city. and people are afraid to come down. people who work remotely who might be willing to come back and work in downtown oakland,

warmer in oakland. inland, anywhere from 71 to 79. those inland temperatures are close to to what's normal for this time of year. i mentioned the haze before the break. air quality hasn't been great, because those those later winds haven't stirrd haven't stirred the air as effectively. so most of us are expensing moderate air-quality peer but there have been spots especially around san jose where where the ground level clicks te clicks those pollutants. we could see some the conditions again on thursday. the fog is going to be widespread to begin the day on thursday, like the past several days. it will take it's time backing up toward the coast. still reduced visibility even inland in the north bay. but the sun will break through even over downtown san francisco, should see better visibility but the fog and low clouds will be very tough to shake there once again. temperatures tonight dropping down to the low to mid 50s. the exception to that, some of the

north bay values drop into the 40s. then high tomorrow's tempe, tomorrow's temperatures, it is a a written temperatures like pena like peninsula. mid to upper 70d 70s inland in the santa clara valley, a few of the warmer spots topping at 80 degrees. temperatures a mix of upper 70s and low 80s, inland in the east. east bay. pretty nice weather for october, but still cool here here the water, 60s and the city city is going mid to upper 60s for oakland and east bay. much further north, temperatures will will still be toasty for mendocino, reaching upper 80s to to around 90 degrees. what we could really use is a chance of october showers. we are getting to that chance where it's unreasonable to look for the in the forecast data, and we are seeing hints of that in the long long range data, beyond the scope of the seven-day forecast, forecast, from the strongest
