the driver hit two pedestrians and then several cars. supervisor gordon mar says we need safer streets and we need them now. we need sfmta to move faster. and then he took a jab at the cops, tweeting we need sfpd to enforce traffic laws. we need everyone who drives a car to understand speeding kills. reckless driving took effect today. well another day, another school shooting in the u.s. this time at a high school in st. louis. students were running out of their classrooms, after a gunman walked in and said you're all going to die. the 19-year-old shot and killed a 61-year-old p.e. teacher and a teenage girl before officers shot and killed him. when her friend came face

we are just thanking our lucky stars that we haven't seen a bunch of wildfires here this october. some of the clearest skies. >> the conditions were something to contend with and did help out to clear out what haze there was. and compared to the past few octobers, this has been an easy one. let's hope for that it continues. >> hoping and praying. until we get some rain though, we will need to look out for any new fires getting started. the next couple of days, we're not going to see any significant rain chances out of the clouds with a dry cold front moving through tonight and tomorrow. cooler than normal temperatures will continue throughout the rest of the week. today's highs almost exactly average for late october. but today's high temperatures were the warmest that we are going to experience for the rest of the seven-day forecast. it will be pleasantly

cooler. we'll see the passing cloud cover tonight and tomorrow morning. but not even the hint of a green freckle on future grand map show you a sprinkle or two. a lot of sunshine for the rest of wednesday. clear skies sticking around for thursday. even with abundant sunshine, temperatures are going to end up a couple of degrees short of what is normal for this time of the year. as a better chance for rain further down the line in the forecast. this is the seven-day rainfall outlook. i would bet on the lower end of these rain chances. if we pick up a little bit of rain over the weekend with a decent chance running for the 40% to 50% chance. it would be a tenth of an inch in a couple of locations. a little more for the north bay, potentially quarter inch there. same thing for the santa cruz mountains and the rain shadows are likely barely more than a trace for san jose. if this even develops in the first place. we will keep you updated

as we get closer to the last weekend in october. just a little fog along the coast. temperatures in the mid to upper 50s to around 60 degrees at the moment. temperatures drop down to the upper 40s, otherwise low to mid-50s to begin the day on tuesday. that's almost exactly average for the 25th of october. the highs end up short of normal. that's close enough that it should be pleasantly cool and not overly breezy. around 60 degrees near the coast. down the peninsula on the south end of the bay around 70 in the valley. exactly 70 in san jose. mostly the low 70s inland, the east bay, the warmest spot, only reaching up to the mid-70s. the mid-60s in san francisco with mid to upper 60s in oakland and the east bay. temperatures around 70 degrees, a little bit warmer you go and

far north in sonoma county. your seven-day forecast doesn't include any huge changes in temperatures. at least a shower chance, but right now, the long range date is a little bit fuzzy. the best bet would be on saturday night into early sunday for a decent chance of rain showers. that means it will be out of the way with the temperatures returning to near average for the month. and you don't have to worry about water proofing the trick or treaters costumes on monday. officially off death row at san quentin state prison, the new mugshot. but last year the state court overturned it, resentenced to life in prison without parole. now a new trial is being considered after jury
