11:15 pm
tuesday we're still watching because -- >> maybe? >> well, from the last time we were together and we get updated model runs. at 5:00 it was like forget it, but now it's like there might be a tenth of an inch. but that's typical this far out. before i even get to that story, did you see the smoke in the sky today? it was hazy out there, and it was smoke. but it was the good kind. the majority we saw in the sky today is coming from two prescribed fires. this is kind of the way we have to do it. it's how do you want your medicine, all in large amounts where it's too much and becomes unhealthy like the last two seasons or do it this way like today? the air quality did go moderate here in the bay area. there's a prescribed fire at the pepperwood reserve in sonoma, but there's also another one in humboldt redwood

state park. they started it a couple of days ago, and it's putting out enough smoke now that the winds are pulling it our way. there's no air quality advisory tomorrow. the forecast is good tomorrow. but there was a lot of moderate out there today. so just know that's where it's coming from, and i think we might want to start retuning ourselves that in the fall this is what it should look like in terms of air quality around here going forward if we're going to get out of the mess with the new fire regime. morning lows tomorrow, mid-50s. not bad. little warmer than today. the highs, mid to upper 70s. a little warmer. sunday will be technically the nicer day of the weekend, but they're both pretty darn nice. but monday, i think you will notice a little bit of a difference. for halloween, if you look at the forecast, it's going to be a little cooler, a little breezy. we'll be sitting in the low 60s to upper 50s. i wanted to spotlight that like 5:00 p.m.

to 9:00 p.m. we'll get our early trick or treaters out with the kids, and then 9:00 monday in the evening, temperatures get a little cooler. so wear your costume and be advised on the elements. won't be bad. it's going to snow in the sierra on tuesday and wednesday from this system, but not a lot. only an inch or two. as far as the rain goes, here's the moment we've been waiting for. what does the latest model run look like? well, the system does hold together enough in the latest runs, we don't get a lot, but the better way to come away with this is just where does it rain, where it accumulates, and now we're looking at maybe a tenth of an inch. this is why you don't look at each model run and go this is the forecast. this is why i had rain in the seven-day forecast all day today, even with the models saying it wouldn't happen. it's a 20% chance still. that's been the official forecast all along. about a tenth of an inch or less. we've
11:18 pm
been saying that all day in the seven-day forecast. it stays cool no matter what. that's the other thing about this. no matter what we get in rainfall, the temperatures will be staying on the cool side. especially in the mornings with morning lows dipping into the 40s. >> so on again, off again is back on. >> yes, just about that much. the founder of the band the dead kennedys has passed away according to a statement released by the band. they said he died from head trauma suffered after an accidental fall in los angeles. he was also a member of the red hot chili peppers for a period in the 80s. flea released a statement calling him a beloved friend. he was 63. coming up in sports, we get you ready for the 49ers and
