being arrested or it elon musk, under fire after his decision to ban multiple high profile journalists bringing into question his status as a -sh the to n frsc good afternoon, i am one of the self driving car companies you've likely seen driving around san francisco is getting approval to start charging people for rides anywhere in the city at any time. for this decision, the general motors company had been restricted to when and where in the city it could charge for its driverless taxis. they still need to get approval from the california public utilities commission. also today, the national highway traffic safety administration is now investigating reports of the robo taxis abruptly stopping in the middle of traffic,

including a report, here in san francisco. as fpd recently sent out an alert about self driving cars downing power lines, but they would not say which company was involved. johnny jackson, one of the three men allegedly arrested for allegedly killing young jasper wu is making his first court appearance today. he and other members are accused of driving on i-80 when a stray bullet hit jasper. the family says while the arrests bring some closure they say it also brings back painful memories of the day of that cruising. the most frequent highway shooting was along i-80, where others were hurt. the city has been pushing for more

to protect people's stuff as well. we will not see much water in the forecast the next few days, that offshore wind has pushed out the high cloud cover we had to our south. there is an area of disturbed weather off the coast that will be directed towards southern california, and even the clouds associated with that feature are going to be avoiding the bay area as we head through tonight into tomorrow, into the entire weekend. on futurecast we will zoom through the next few days. we have fog in the central valley that will become widespread . we even have freezing fog concerns there that could sneak into parts of solano county, maybe far eastern alameda and contra costa counties. cloud cover will be moving in on monday, and that unfortunately has very low odds of squeezing out precipitation. there is a slight chance of a passing shower north of the golden gate tuesday and thursday. and that's it for the rain chances. and the long-range data isn't looking that good either. the

outlook takes us through christmas weekend, a significant chance of drier than normal conditions for most outlk of lighter than normal conditions might show a 2022 . fingers crossed, but it's a long way down the line. and there's nothing to wash that haze ofhorin. at times we have seen orange show up for the central bank , oakland, and inland in the east bay, that's where the worst air quality has been today. if more of those orange dots show up we may get some spare the air alerts with all of that haze from wood fire burning stoves. temperatures are cool but not exceptionally cool. lowest temperatures are the 50s to

60s. upper 20s for the coldest spots , mostly 30s and 40s along the bay, and around the coast, very close to where we are topping out today. the warmest spots in the santa clara valley threatening 60 degrees. we will see a slight cool down sunday and monday, then a warm up takes over as we head through the next of rest week. by thursday and friday especially close to 60 with inland temperatures reaching the low to mid 60s, and simple long-range data indicating we could make it to the upper 60s by thursday and friday, just that slight shower chance monday and tuesday, ryan. >> thanks, paul. the 49ers are nfc west champions . vern glenn breaks down their win over the seahawks.

lightly. after a mother shot this video of her daughter performing's she said she needed to smile more, and as most of us probably know from when we were kids that is a dangerous ask for kids to do something like that, because you will get this instead. this giant smile that stole the show. look at that grin. the mom says her daughter kept this over-the-top smile for the entire show , but the mom says she should have known better, and they both had a good laugh. my goodness. >> she might be at that age, some kids go through a phase where smiling means show all your teeth. it is just , it probably froze on her too.
