3:17 pm
tonight, and after sunset, we will notice a few light showers overhead, but once you get to midnight tonight, this is kind of wave number one . and it will bring us rain throughout thursday. you'll get brakes on the day on thursday when you are not getting rained on, and really, in terms of the thursday rain it's the evening where we see the best of it from wave number one, right there. we'll look at the totals on this in a second. but watch friday. on friday we get more energy that comes through, a little more rain. there are breaks, but things start to get organized through friday. it's a little more widespread. that is wave two . wave three looks different, it's going to look very familiar, in fact. wave three is when the next atmospheric river gets here. and it's not just blob -like eelokea fipod at ts om saturday inlookat e deep

focus. it does not look as windy as the storm that came through, yesterday morning. but, it looks as rainy, and it's going to come after two days of rain. so remember, that's the third wave. there's the thursday stuff, the friday stuff, then the main event on saturday. if you add it all up, there is thursday, then we will add friday. now we are going to take that atmospheric river and put that on top of these numbers , and we get close to 2 1/2 inches of rain. it's going to be a somewhat complicated forecast, only because that atmosphere and atmospheric river coming ashore will make all the difference for who gets the heaviest rain, and that will likely shift over the next could w da. it could be further north or south. so there is a flood advisory for the whole bay area. here is one take away from this, i will just show you. this is a

forecast from the river at 1026. the lines show you the expected height of the river. at guerneville, that's where the height is. it is not flood stage, but it's getting close. that shows up right when we get into late saturday through those later hours of the flood watch. support this altogether, first alert day on saturday. there's plenty of rain before that, but saturday is the first alert day, because that's when we will deal with the cumulative amounts of rain we have gotten rid we get a break on sunday, and that's good, because next week there are more storms. they look white impressive, so there's going to be a lot of stuff over the next few days. we will track that closely, and that our pledge in the first alert weather forecast. we are drying your attention to saturday. see you at this later. >> i'm already planning puzzles and cards for the kids on saturday.
