these are percentages to date through today compared to what's normal for march 15 and santa rosa, san francisco, livermore. these numbers represent more than the water year total, october 1, all the way through september 30. so we're already in bonus territory. you're within one inch of rain of that total year average for san jose. there is more rain in the forecast. wind is not nearly the factor it was yesterday. it's hard to believe it was just over 24 hours ago that we're dealing with all that wind damage. the wind is pretty much calm across the bay area right now. high temperatures still below average. cooler than average weather pattern is still with us, but tomorrow's numbers will be higher. we'll see a lot more 60s on the map by tomorrow afternoon. at least one day of near normal temperatures. the temperatures will start to go down a little bit on friday and eventually the rain chances will return. but we will get a couple of more dry days to continue to get that power back on and continue to clean up everything that's happened. >> you were out of power for a

lot about the damage from all the storms. take a look at this. the house right on the edge of the cliffside. oh my goodness. i mean it's right on the edge. this is ben loman in the santa cruz mountains, hit really hard with a lot of clean up to do. and they caused even more of a widespread problem, blocking part of highway 9, south of holiday lane. people who need to get out will need to take the long way. chp says cal trans can't stop on fixing this, but it's been an issue for months and just keeps getting worse with each storm, so they absolutely need a break. and the peninsula cannot catch a break from sinkholes. and now they're dealing with another one in woodside. this is along highway 84. the road is closed in both directions between portilla road and skyline boulevard. sinkholes are not easy to repair and no timeline on when that

will return to the forecast. initially a daybreak today with winds across the bay area, and in stored for us tomorrow. and more of the same in stored on friday. for the first time in a while, it looks like decent travel weather if you're going to be heading up to tahoe. now keep in mind they're dealing with the structural issues with just the weight of the snow on the rooftops. so there might be some things that are a little bit different than your usual trip up. but at least there will be a few snow showers here and there and it won't be disastrous like the past several weekends. futurecast will show clear skies tonight, a little bit of fog i a long the coast and inside the bay to start the day tomorrow. that's gone quickly with plenty of sunshine tomorrow. clear skies tomorrow night and the gradual increase on clouds friday. you'll see some gray appearing overhead. but no green on the map. getting any chance for showers. the clouds will move through to start the day on saturday, but increasing clouds again by saturday afternoon. this forecast model, which stops at 5:00 p.m. on saturday still

keeps the rain way offshore. others by late afternoon and evening with a chance for showers late on saturday, but it looks like it will be light activity. and another chance of mostly light showers on monday with some heavier rain headed that way on tuesday and tuesday night, but those rain chances further down the line in the forecast, talking about five to seven days out that will fall into the trend category as opposed to getting you any specific and when it will move if and move out. at this point, we're evaluating where those rain chances go up, which looks like they are or if they will diminish. and that rain chance farther down the line, there are others that do not and with that weather headed our way. we're going to keep our eye on

it throughout weekend with plenty of notice to potentially get ready. the six to ten-day outlook center shows a good chance of wetter than normal conditions. i mean it's a significant chance, not just for the bay area, but most of california. farther down the line, the 8 to 14-day outlook, will take us to the end of march, still a chance of wetter than normal conditions and the whiter shade of green. things look like they're trending in the less wet direction as we get closer and closer to the end of march. but that's still a long way away. right now we have clear skies out there. temperatures will dip down to the 40s in most spots. holding on to 50 degrees in oakland and san jose. by tomorrow morning, it will be chilly inland. mid to upper 40s with the lows around the bay and along the coast, reaching up to it dropping down into the low 40s, falling a few degrees short. just 1 degree shy of hitting 60. a lot of 60s on the map
11:19 pm
tomorrow afternoon. low to mid-60s across the boar where we are suppose to be in the middle of march. temperatures are going to back off a couple of degrees with additional cloud cover on friday. we're leaving that slight chance of showers in the forecast on saturday, but looks like we'll get through most of the first half of the weekend, at least the daylight hours. still dry. and then the shower chances will move in on saturday night and sunday, light stuff. the heaviest rain in the forecast at this point is tuesday into tuesday night, but there is still a long way to go. we've got the sixth day of the sews the best chance for widespread rain. we'll continue to narrow down the range of possibilities, which at this point, that's what we're looking at. what is least likely, we'll keep you updated. >> paul, thank you so much. still ahead, san francisco is not the only culinary mecca in the bay. how to eat your way through oakland with special deals. straight ahead in sports, the rest of the story. we just did a deep dive on the warriors, so how about some
