discussion on the contract for the oem employees. oakland police have brought in extra officers to deal with illegal side shows. fireworks last night were going off, and cars were lit on fire. they wer going on last night on tenth street, and officers set up a perimeter around the scene of the burning cars. another last night at san pablo and merchant street. it lasted half an hour before the crowd was broken up there. most of the damage at th corner of tenth and oak street. you can see a man in a subaru repeatedly ramming the car into a burning vehicle. a store cler nearby said he closed his shop early.
