police say calls of an active shooter came in just before 9:00 last night. the shooting happened at the dmax plane in moraine, just south of dayton. they say a male gunman targeted the victim. the suspect was taken to the hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. another person was wounded and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. the motive remains unclear. the search for two unaccounted for workers after a massive fire ripped through a north carolina construction site. the flames erupted in charlotte yesterday. cell phone video shows part of one building collapsed, engulfed in flames. first responders helped rescue a crane operator who was stranded in the crane cab for more than an hour surrounded by heavy smoke. two firefighters had to be rescued along with 15 workers. people nearby were told to quickly evacuate. >> building's on fire. they were hollering the building's on fire. smoke was rolling out of the

place where they were going to unload. >> i was on the phone in a meeting, started seeing small smoke, then big smoke, then flames, and said all right, it's time to get out of here. >> right now it's unclear what started the fire. a new body cam video shows the pursuit of a gunman in a deadly mass shooting in new mexico. police say the 18-year-old suspect went on a ten-minute shooting rampage in the city of farmington on monday. three elderly women were killed, and six others were hurt. jarred hill is in new york with the latest on this. good morning. >> reporter: hey, anne-marie. authorities are still trying to figure out why this 18-year-old went on what police call a random shooting rampage in his own neighborhood. we are getting a clearer picture of his state of mind. in this new video, a heads-up, some of this is going to be tough to watch. in disturbing new video, a barrage of gunfire pierces through the silence in a new mexico neighborhood. from a doorbell camera, police say you can hear the 18-year-old

call out for officers to kill him. >> when he's making the decision to take off his body armor he's making a stand. he has opportunities to run off. he does not use those opportunities. >> reporter: from another angle, body cam video shows police rushing toward the gunfire. the shots missed one of them, but police sergeant rachel discenza -- >> i'm shot -- >> reporter: is hit in the pelvis. during the ten-minute rampage, police say the gunman fired more than 140 rounds with an ar-15 rifle. three women were killed. 97-year-old gwen schofield and her 73-year-old daughter melody ivie shot when they pulled over near the body of 79-year-old shirley voita. >> it's our belief based on what we can see that they were in the process of pulling over to render aid to the victim that they saw laying in the street. >> just three pillars of our community. such a tragedy. >> reporter: in the end, the shooter who was due to graduate

high school just one day later appeared to fire a few more shots from a church parking lot before he was killed. >> down! [ gunshots ] >> reporter: according to investigators, the suspect legally bought the ar-15 one month after he turned 18. so police say that that suspect had access to about ten other guns. at least some of them that he got from family members. anne-marie, police say the shooter did have a handwritten note on him that reads in part "end of the chapter." but what got him to that point, they still don't know. >> yeah, still many, many questions. jarred hill in new york. thank you so much. >> reporter: sure. >> wow. the g7 summit of the world's most powerful democracies is under way in japan. president biden joined other leaders overnight laying wreaths at a museum in hiroshima dedicated to the u.s. atomic bomb attack in 1945. mr. biden met earlier with the japanese prime minister. the leaders are set to discuss china's recent aggression and military build-up.

regulating the use of artificial artificial intelligence and finding new ways to sanction russia for its invasion of ukraine. ukrainian president volodymyr zelenskyy is expected to travel to japan to take part in the summit. alarming new allegations in the chase of a massachusetts air national guards man who leaked classified documents. the 21-year-old received multiple warnings about his handling of top-secret material. he's due back in court today. catherine herridge has the latest. >> reporter: months before his arrest at gunpoint by an fbi s.w.a.t. team in massachusetts, prosecutors allege 21-year-old air national guardsman jack teixeira was on the radar of his commanders. according to newly filed court records, air national guard officials warned teixeira multiple times about his alleged unauthorized access of highly classified information including taking notes. as rececuary, teixeira, an i.t. specialist, was discovered accessing

sensitive information that was not related to his primary duty and had been told to not seek out intelligence products. another memo says the 21-year-old said the potential was ignoring the cease and desist order begin a month earlier. prosecutors also flagged this video obtained by "the washington post" alleging teixeira was obsessed with a race war and included evidence photos alleging the air national guardsman was fixated on guns. teixeira is also accused of boasting to his online friends, which included at least 150 users, some who represented they resided in other countries. too many people, too many documents, insufficient oversight and scrutiny. >> reporter: teixeira will be in a massachusetts court friday where a judge will consider whether to release him on bail. his defense team says it's wrong to compare the 21-year-old to another high-profile leak case where the defendant, edward snowden, fled to russia. catherine herridge, cbs news, washington. california congressman eric swalwell is accusing a former san francisco 49ers player of sending him a threatening message on social media. swalwell reported former fullback bruce miller to the capitol police. the democratic representative posted the direct message he said he received from miller that contained the word "execution." a twitter account appearing to belong to miller later responded to swalwell saying that his message was not a threat. miller was cut by the 49ers in 2016 after he was charged in the alleged assault of a 70-year-old man and his son. overseas, there was a scary

6-month-old baby still inside. an hour later, they found the stolen car, arrested the suspect, but the baby was still missing. minutes later they discovered the baby in its car seat in a ravine, and the child is okay. muslims in minnesota are on edge after the latest case of vandalism, and the supreme court hands down key rulings involving social media. those are some of the headlines on the "morning newsstand." "the washington post" reports the supreme court ruled in favor of google, twitter, and facebook on terror-related content. families of terror attack victims filed lawsuits against the social media companies. they claim that they did not do enough to prevent their platforms from being used by extremist groups to radicalize and recruit people. the justices rejected one lawsuit. in another they declined to rule on a law protecting social media companies from being held liable for content users' posts their platforms. "the minneapolis star-tribune" says muslims in minnesota are on edge after a

sixth attack on a mosque. a mosque in st. paul was heavily damaged wednesday by a fire that authorities said was deliberately set. a suspect was arrested on suspicion of arson, and no one was inside at the time. it took place after early cases of vandalism and arson fires at mosques in the state. >> my worst fear when i look at this is that my 4-year-old son who lives here, my beautiful wife who lives and works here, was also a product of our great state of minnesota, getting attacked tomorrow and that being okay. >> mosques across minnesota are being told to increase their security. and "the new york times" says california senator dianne feinstein suffered more complications from shingles than previously disclosed. the 89-year-old returned to the capitol last week looking frail and in a wheelchair after a nearly three-month absence. she was hospitalized for shingles in february. her office now says feinstein also contracted encephalitis and
