. three smashed windows in 24 hours. tonight, a bay area business owner is sat the breaking point. >> you get attacked you feel violated. from kpix, this is the late news with sara donchey on cbs news bay area. a shop under siege and the owner wanting answers tonight. good evening i'm juliette goodrich in for sara. the owner of a sandwich shop is worried i is only a matter of time before her business is broken into again. it was hit three times i 24 hours. the only items stolen worth about $2. tonight, the owner tells us she is at her breaking point not just with th perpetrator but with the police response. >> this is a sandwich shop that was vandalized. >> reporter: as you it see the window is still boarded up because the glass company does not have anymore windows in stock. that is because they are

not the only victim. right next door is a bakery and the window here has been shattered as well >> this is the initial window. he broke it. threw the rock. it hit here. >> reporter: san francisco native moved to pittsburgh to raise a family. she started up sandwich shop after having her second child. it has been opene for six years and she has never experienced anything like this. >> 24 hours, three windows t is starting to get a little, how d you stop it? >> reporter: here is the surveillance footage ever the incident. the suspect breaks a window, runs in, runs out, and then just walks away. >> tuesday night, 11:00 he breaks our window, enters, steals a soda, runs out. that i it. >> reporter: he came back the next night and broke two more windows. this time did not stea a thing. pittsrgh police caught the suspect but she does

not feel confident that his crime spree is over. >> they did not even want to book him. they did not want to book him because he is a juvenile. they don't want to ge involved, almost t. is like, okay, so, how do we protect ourselves? at that point? >> reporter: she has done everything she can as a small business owner. she has installed several cameras, nothing she does can stop these random break ins. >> just the emotions, up and down because you are, this is our safe space, this is our home. like, you know, you get attacked or feel violated. >> reporter: now, she is left t pick up the pieces and wonder when the suspect will strike again. >> they definitely need consequences if he is 16, 17 or 35, they are not getting consequences, they are not getting held accountable and a slap on the wrists not doing it any more. >> reporter: now, we mentioned that the suspect stole a soda a nicks. ae bary took iccream.

degrees below average inland. now, usually we see a 20 to 25 spread from the coast to inland parts of the bay area as we approach memorial day weekend. only a 10 or 12 degree difference. upper 50s on the coast, lower 70s in the valley, lower 70s for the warmest spots inland in the east bay, a lot o upper 60s in the map that is typical of early april than lat may. middle 60s for the east bay, middle to upper 60s for th north bay. lake county the temperatures will be more likel to reach up into the 70s. heading out to napa to take on the festival starting tomorrow, the temperatures will be cooles tomorrow and then a warm up heading into the first two days of memorial day weekend. the last two days of the three day festival. the temperatures will stay below average across the board for the next several days coolest day with the grand parade for carnival on sunday. the temperatures will stay in the middle 60 exps mostly in th lower 70s for inland parts
