actually see video of trump in court on tuesday, the answer is no. federal courtrooms do not allow video broadcasting of criminal cases. governor gavin newsom is looking far beyond our state of california to push his political agenda. he wants to add a 20th amendment to the u.s. constitution to curb access to guns. the proposal would do a few things. it would raise the buying age from 18 to 21, call for universal background checks, and a minimum waiting period to buy a gun. it would also ban civilians from buying assault weapons. newson says this would keep the second amendment in place but make work for the modern world. getting it passed is a long shot to say the least. as you can imagine, it has gotten support from a number of gun safety organizations, victims of gun violence, as well as a lot of pushback from the gun lobby, the nra and gun owners and supporters. >> none of the laws that he has proposed have helped california at all. we still have our

a plane crash in solano county killed both people aboard. the craft they were flying in was experimental. a home-built plane used for demonstrations. the single engine plane went down just before noon near the rio vista municipal airport. firefighters say both people died at the scene. >> we feel for the people who were in the plane and their families of course, and when the report comes out we will probably give a safety briefing and make sure that our pilots are aware of what happened and what we can do to make our flying safer. as fun as aviation is, it is a very unforgiving sport. >> the ntsb and faa are looking

into the crash. there is good news and bad news for people who live near the martinez refining company. a new round of soil testing shows that 24-ton chemical dump that dusted the city on thanksgiving is no longer a health threat, but quite likely was when it first happened. the dust that fell is a mix of chemicals used in the refining process and it does contain heavy metals. the health department said the primary risk happened in the initial hours and days when people were most likely to breathe it in. the refinery did not fess up about the release until a day later, essentially telling people not to worry and that it was non-toxic. months later, county health told people nearby not to eat food grown from their gardens as the epa and fbi stepped in to investigate. >> what they did was criminal to us! they did not tell us! my son and husband went out and error personalized all that

showers on sunday night into monday. we will keep you updated as we head through the weekend. right now we have temperatures in the mid to upper 50s to around 60 degrees. we dropped down to the mid to low 50s by early tomorrow morning which is a normal starting point for the middle of june, but because of the additional clouds, the onshore breeze, the overall weather pattern , we will end up about five to 10 degrees below normal with some spots further below average than that. highs on the coast, upper 50s. that is close to where you are supposed to be. near 70 down the peninsula, low to mid 70s in the valley and a few upper 60s in the east bay. even the warmer spots are in the mid-70s. that is on the cool side. we will not see any temperatures even threatening 80 degrees for the next couple of days. near 60 in san francisco, low to mid 60s for oakland and east bay and the north bay will have the coolest temperatures inland because

the cloud cover will be thicker and that will keep your highs mainly in the mid-to-upper 60s. if you are heading out to the giants game tomorrow evening as they started a three-game series against the cubbies, temperatures will definitely be on the cool side, only in the upper 50s for first pitch at 7: 15. another fireworks game tomorrow evening, and dropping down into the mid-50s as the game progresses. temperatures willsteady in san francisco in oakland, but everybody returns to near average by wednesday and thursday of next week. that means 60s and low 70s around the bay and a mix of 70s and 80s further inland with san jose creeping closer to 80 degrees by wednesday and thursday of next week . we are likely to reach or exceed by the middle to end of next week and it looks like the warmer weather will stick around through father's day weekend, except along the coast. temperatures there are stuck in the low 50s.? straight ahead in sports, it is the story of near perfection for a world series champion tonight.
