>> we saw a story about the heat in phoenix. 110. >> and 30 day ins a row now. you remember when they were going to break the record. the most consecutive days of 110. that was a week-and-a-half ago. that was 19. they broke the record at 19 days in a row. they haven't stopped doing it since then. >> are they going to get a break? >> they will get a short lived break. but when you look at the long range forecast models, looks like the most intense heat wave of the summer setting up. >> even hotter? >> hotter than what they have had. that is still seven, eight, ten days out. so give that a little bit of time. but that's the best information we've got. temperatures will keep going down. speaking of which, let's do that for san jose. not our hottest microclimate. one of the warmer ones. 81 would be the average daytime high this time of year. look what shows up. first of
11:17 pm
all, we will do average. again tomorrow and monday. once we get into the mid 70s , this is when a couple of days need to be pointed out. we'll go back down. this is only six to seven degrees below average. but remember, there are micro climates inland that deal with more intense heat than this. you'll notice this more. you will get like a 10-degree cooldown for those warmer inland valleys. you will be in the mid 80s in concord and livermore. we will do everybody's seven day forecast in the micro climates. in a moment, what is average anyway in general? we now know san jose's average comes in around 81. concord, 88. that is our warmest number. for average daytime highs right now. hayway, your average is 75. let's switch our perspective now. let's put tomorrow's numbers on here. tomorrow's numbers are pretty much in that

spot. 91 in concord. san jose, you'll be cooler. oakland, 73. you are pretty much right there. so, that's a little perspective on where things stand in terms of average. 5 l degrees in san francisco. let's go inland. we'll take a look at one of the warmest spots. we don't see as big a spread this time of day obviously. but it is still warmer over here. that's concord. 67 degrees for the inland valleys of contra costa and alameda. you are tracking around that same number. a little bit of marine layer tomorrow, but not overwhelm. it is in the morning. but by the afternoon, it is more sun than anything else. and the daytime highs tomorrow, for everybody, exactly what you did today. and monday will be just like this as well. there really isn't a whole lot of change coming. so if we watch where the heat is in the atmosphere for our little corner of the globe, the deeper the shade of red, that's where the warmth is. watch the progression. each day it pulses in the afternoon. but it is so great to watch this. you can visualize how the heat is sloshing around the desert southwest. by the time we get
11:19 pm
to tuesday, it is kind of back over here. new mexico, texas where you have the higher temperatures and we are far enough removed from it. we have even got a little coastal eddy there once again. giving us our below average temperatures. and that, it really has been this, if you want to, we could say it has been a wonderful little bubble of obliviousness to the extreme weather. it is really the coast that has been getting off easy here. all right, seven day forecast for san francisco and oakland. oakland, you're going down to the upper 60s but you will warm up to the upper 70s . so i hadn't mentioned that yet. we will warm up again in the seven day. look at next weekend. now it is not like a heat wave. we will go to 93 in the north bay valleys. back up to 83 in san jose. we know that is a couple of degrees above average. the inland east bay, low 80s here. mid 90s there. we probably won't talk about heat advisories. andrea, over to you. >> all right, darren,.
