control. it crashed into a pompano beach apartment complex and burst into flames. >> on top of the roof was a ball of fire, a big ball of fire, and then a second explosion. >> reporter: authorities say two people died. broward county's 19-year veteran and a woman in her apartment. amazingly two crew members were seen crawling away from the wreckage. >> there's no rhyme or reason why they survived and why we lost harrison or vice versa. all of them could have truly been killed in this accident. >> reporter: officials say the fire rescue helicopter was headed to a scene of a car crash before it experienced a mechanical issues and a fire on board. >> we're going to suffer. we're going to hurt. this community should know we're going to answer the next call. >> reporter: the three remaining police and fire helicopters have been grounded until they can be checked out to be determined to

be safe to flight. well, the pentagon has now identified the three marines killed when their osprey aircraft crashed during a training mission sunday in northern australia. corporal spencer collart, major tobin lewis, and captain eleanor lebeau were all based out of hawaii. three other marines remain in the hospital and one is in critical condition. the marine osprey aircraft has been involved in five deadly crashes since 2012. and a federal judge has set a march 2024 trial date for donald trump. to face charges of alleged attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. meanwhile in georgia former white house chief of staff mark meadows was seeking to move his election interference case from state to federal court. robert costa reports. >> reporter: a legal and political collision. the march 4th, 2024, trial date when trump will face criminal charges for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election will

take place before super tuesday when voters in 14 states across the country cast ballots in primary elections. judge tanya chutkan denied the request from trump to start the trial in 2026, telling trump's lawyers mr. trump will have to make this trial date work regardless of his schedule. there are now three trials crowding his schedule next spring, and trump's former chief of staff mark meadows 'peered in court in fulton county, in an attempt to move his charges from state court to federal court. meadows was present on a phone squall between trump and georgia secretary of state mr. brad raffensperger. >> mr. president, everybody is is present on the line. this is mark meadows, chief of staff. >> reporter: when trump asked him the overturn the election. >> i just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. >> reporter: meadows, who unexpectedly took the stand, testified that he organized the call as a federal official
