parts of the bay area, differen story this time around. clouds building in tonight, areas of drizzle, showers tomorrow with more clouds and sunshine tomorrow and saturday, not completely gray, partial clearing in the afternoon is about the extent of the sun. th more ambitious clearing trend will kick on sunday, we will stay on the cool side through sunday and backed in your tempe normal temperatures by the time labor day rolls around. here's look at the satellite and radar put together, we had a few rada returns trying to make their wa into the northbay, and all of that on the way down, the storm system causing all this is up t our north, it moves into northern california, by tomorrow, we are going to see a better chance of showers poppin up closer to home, futurecast shows radar freckles here and there, and that's the extent of what we will see. a couple of passing showers, sprinkles, enough to make you fiddle with the windshield wipers and drizzle, make sure you're careful of that, but no widespread rain. even your chance of sprinkles is going to be in the 20 to 30% range, nothing to get too excited
11:20 pm
about, there. we will see that quieting down as we head toward the second two thirds of labor day weekend, and after that temperatures are going to retur to near average on monday, and hovering slightly above average inland for tuesday, wednesday, thursday, no extreme heat insight, a big contract from what we had a year ago. the smoke was concentrated today, some of that has been scoured out but the fires in far northern california and souther oregon are producing plenty of smoke come and the presence of the upper-level storm system is grabbing that smoke, sending it over the pacific which can then take the long way around and move back into the bay area. that will be the concern for th next few days. our air quality is getting better right now but we are not done with the moderate air quality, potentially getting back into the unhealthy for sensitive groups arrange especially for the northbay tomorrow, where a lot of the bay area was today. we will leave it in the moderat category, there will be plenty of times those days when the ai quality is good, sometimes we d get back into the yellow category, i wanted to make you aware that maybe is not going t be the best all the time as we had through the holiday weekend
11:21 pm
there's the fog swallowing up downtown, temperature 59 in san francisco, other temperatures i the mid-60s, those numbers aren't going to change as we ha through the rest of the night with that blanket of clouds moving in, it holds a little bi of warmth in your ground-level, dropping down a couple more degrees as we had through the rest of tonight. not warming up much tomorrow, this is a mid-october type of temperature map, 60s around the bay, mostly 70s inland. it's as far as we're going to go tomorrow and on saturday, we start to warm u just a little on sunday, it's barely noticeable around the ba that it will be more noticeable inland, then back to normal temperatures monday with slightly above average readings tuesday, wednesday, thursday, there's the more noticeable warming trend for inland parts of the bay area, the northbay and the santa clara valley, and as always the tri-valley and th delta, the hottest day on tuesday only up to around 90 degrees, could be a whole lot worse as we head into the first week of september, along the coast you got the best chance o drizzle tomorrow, raindrops in the forecast for a change, and you will see some sunshine as w had through most of next week.
