a deadly head-on collision was caught on camera, and a father who survived it with his family is calling on caltrans to make serious changes to a stretch of highway 4. we have this very upsetting video that a father is now shouting. >> reporter: an oncoming

vehicle suddenly emerges and crashes head-on into this family's car. the airbag deploys and the camera spins around to show the driver miraculously surviving. that driver is a father. >> one second before the crash, i accepted death. i knew there was no way to avoid it. and then suddenly it was a white curtain, the airbag, the smell of the gas, i can still remember. it was not pleasant, but it saved my life. >> he survived, along with his mother, father, and wife, who suffered head injuries, and his two-year-old and four-year-old children who also survived unharmed. all three people in the other car died on impact. >> i can't imagine what was going through their minds. are you able to process what was happening in that moment? >> thinking back, i can

are going to see some sunshine breaking through as we head into the afternoon. temperatures are dropping to the middle to upper 50s and around 60 degrees, normal for this time of year. we were a degree or two above normal, the hottest spots only get to around 90 degrees, and that's not bad. in september, low 70s along the bay, middle 60s along the coast, the giants take on the cleveland garden guardians, temperature at game time should be in the middle 60s and gradually warming up to around 70 degrees in the city by late afternoon. temperatures don't change much intent cisco as we go the weekend into early next week, more of a drought in the east bay, we end up a degree or two above normal next week. san jose, you only get about a drop from tomorrow, north bay it is closer to a 15 degree increase. it's a little bit of a ball
