late-night news with sara donchey. >> hi, i'm sara donchey. the silence coming from leaders tonight is deafening. just weeks after they raided oakland mayor sheng thao is -- home. hearing from the mayor herself. she has someone speaking for her, in fact, someone you may recognize. wilson walker kicks off our coverage tonight. stallman -- ♪ ♪ >> reporter: outside of the official search warrant documents, she has no information about it. former prosecutor tony brass now oakland mayor's sheng thao 's attorney, he says there is no evidence that she is part of it. >> so it surprised me that they would go through the steps of a

search warrant on her home. it is a terrible position to be in. >> the determination yesterday seemed to be that the raid would not have happened had the fbi not had some kind of information. >> that is an absolutely fair question. but what i didn't know when i gave a statement yesterday, she had not been contacted inquiring about anything. it was my assumption that she would have been asked for information, or documents, or devices they were needed. she must have refused that if they got a search warrant. i'm quite surprised that the search warrant was the first she'd heard of the investigation. >> reporter: before calling for her recall following the -- >> i think this was a political hit job. i think it was done strategically and tactically.

temperatures, low to mid? . you wouldn't guess by overnight low temperatures that you would be in such a warm tomorrow. and the cool end of the spectrum, upper 40s along the coast. but then we heat up. still comes to the low six east. but well into the 80s. mostly mid-to-upper 90s , some of the hottest spots topping 100 degrees, which is definitely hot. you are risk of overexertion. lots of air conditioning, find some shade, and just make sure you're staying hydrated. again, still keeping the heat away from the bay. temperatures reach up into the 90s, even above 100 . even the high spots . we will be

all odds. that is what happened to a maryland man who thought his puppy was gone good. he regularly let his dog , luna, run around the property. she took off after her critter and never came back. tony could not find her. she was lost for 2 whole years. he had absolutely no idea where she had gone, or how far she had gotten. then tony got a call from an animal rest you 1000 miles away in florida that told him they found his dog in walmart parking lot. tony rented a car and drove for 16 1/2 hours to go get her baby -- his baby. >> she's been living in florida. she definitely knows where to vacation. we've been hoping for two years that she would return. thanks to animal rescue, today's the day. this
