arrests. both charged with felony assault. barfield has been waiting for the police department to arrest those responsible for hurting her son. >> these people, the perpetrators, will all be caught and all brought to justice. i'm confident, 100%. i know they have the evidence. >> reporter: the attack on her son, dasanni barfield, happened in a locker room two weeks ago. i started fighting back, but they all jumped me. >> reporter: the freshman suffered a broken nose in the attack and a concussion. worried about the emotional scars a moment like this will leave on her son. >> he needs therapy. i don't want him to have lifelong affects from this trauma. >> reporter: confronting good speed in the locker room. his

mother feels the mother and daughter are also responsible for the assault. >> it wasn't coin dental coincidental. and clearly in no mother or daughter should be in the boys' locker room period. >> reporter: that at this time, there is no evidence of the mother coordinating the attack. this is still an open investigation to reeve out to investigators. the teen charged in the deadly high school shooting and his father are going to stay in jail. they had back-to-back hearings today. family members sat just feet away from the 14-year-old accused of killing their loved ones at a rampage in a high school outside wednesday. 14-year-old colt gray is facing four counts of murder. his father who bought

it sounds like something out of a final destination movie. a pane of glass plummeting down from a tower in

breeze. those factors cool us off, then we'll be back to near normal temperatures for the second half of the weekend. still a bit warm on saturday. one factor we'll need to watch is the path of the storm system. there's a chance it grabbed some smoke. sending it out over the pacific, then loops back towards us. that's an outside chance had, but still something we will monitor. in fact, let's to get the windows closed behind me here. take a look at the tower as the fog swallows up downtown san francisco. here is the air quality forecast, which overall is looking pretty good. we had moderate ratings inland in the east bay and santa clara. pretty much good across the board as we head into early next week, assuming it managed to avoid us. looking out from salesforce tower, hard to tell which direction we're looking at. but the fog is spreading out. temperatures are mostly,

well, even mixed. 50s and 60s at that moment. a nice retreat from almost 100 degrees inland in concord today. back down to the upper 60s. the free air-conditioning is returning for those inland parts of the bay area. let's open up the windows again and take a look at how the fog will behave for the rest of tonight. it will spread out into the valleys of the north bay and into the santa clara valley, making a little push, but not deep enough for the marine layer yet to overcome the obstacle. it means you'll see full sunshine right away, which means your temperatures will be warmer in other spots. reaching up into the low to mid-90s on the widespread basis. and that's even better than the past few days. upper 80s, staying below 90s, but into the 90s for los gatos. and 80s for fremont and redwood city. those numbers, just one degree above average. almost exactly normal temperatures near the water.

for the north bay, where the fog holds on longer. that's where temperatures are also going to be just a little bit cooler. returning for highs by tomorrow afternoon. normal temperatures will stick around, and it looks like we will remain comfortable as we look at that long range outlook as well. the temperature outlook from the climate pre diction center will take us to the midpoint of september. 8 to 14-day outlook will shift things around to the autumnal equinox. a signal cooler for the bay area. something to look forward to while we still have warm to hot temperatures inland tomorrow. but then we're back to the typical early september weather pattern as we head through most of next week. they get back up to 90 degrees. but that's a whole lot better than 100 degrees. temperatures are returning to the low to mid-70s there and that fog pattern. still making it up into the 60s as we head through the weekend and into early next week. then
