[ music ] welcome back. after decades of relentless freeway noise, the gardener neighborhood is finally seeing some action. snoopy will on williams street have lived with the roar since the 1960s. an oversight left those in that neighborhood with out the sound walls they were supposed to have. with the city and caltrans having ownership of that stretch along the highway, it was easy for them to pass the buck, leading to years of inaction. last week, the city finally approved 10 foot sound walls. a community leader said it was way overdue for this historically marginalized community. >> this is what we do two marginalized communities, we continue to marginalize them, unless they are people like this community, who are willing
11:17 pm
to consistently stand up and not be exhausted by standing up, we do it. >> the sound walls will cost $12 million and should be done by 2026. neighbors credit the state senator for pushing to secure the funding. >> a beautiful day out there. are we still worried about this offshore wind? we are talking about fire danger. >> it's going to be a close call, it could be strong enough to talk about fire weather here. they've put out red flag warnings for parts of southern california, for santa ana wind on wednesday. it looks like it's going to be stronger for them. it's close. first of all, we had offshore winds today, there was a lot going on off the coast and in the bay today, hopefully we were blissfully unaware, there's a scheme of advisories and warnings that were in place.
11:18 pm
this is a gale warning for us consistently at 30 miles per hour or higher off the water. that's dangerous enough. this is the small craft advisory, and we've already had significant issues, particularly off bodega from earlier today. that advisory continues into the bay, expiring tomorrow morning, as does the wind advisory. you start to work your way out to solano county, the only place out here included in the advisory. fairfield had a 35 mph gusts, that's all going to expire tomorrow. let's look ahead now, we've got some good news in terms of the next couple days. as we look ahead to tomorrow, we are quiet, we don't have sick of significant weather issues for monday. you will be in the middle to upper 40s for the morning low, not bad at all. when we look at daytime highs, those numbers will also climb, you will be sitting back at the mid-70s.
11:19 pm
looking ahead, it's the wind that starts to stand out, it's good to take a comparison, these are the strong northwestern winds along the coast. i will transition this with one button, and take a look at the offshore winds on wednesday. notice it will be stronger. look at the flow, you can see down the peninsula and down the santa cruz mountains. that's clearly offshore wind there. that looks dramatic , to put that in front and center, the bigger concern is from the offshore wind and northbay mountains, you can tell the direction is hopefully still the same. here is a comparison, we will lose the wind, look at the relative humidity over the weekend, mid-40s, we like them. relative humidity by wednesday, that's much lower. this is borderline for us. we put half an inch of rain over the landscape over the course of the weekend, with the system
11:20 pm
that came through and dropped some rain. that helped, it didn't and fire season completely, we need a couple more like that, at least another good one like that to really kind of help us. wednesday will be the day to watch, no significant issues with the weather, no rain coming our way. there is a cooldown over the weekend. another one will come in, let's keep our fingers crossed. it looks like it will bring some light rain in the weekend and early next week. we will have more on that, in the meantime, all eyes on wednesday. coming up, millions are taking videos and pictures of themselves on the bouncy walkway, so why are they getting rid of it? details after the break. straight ahead on game day, the latest from steph curry. the 49ers were off, we got a bunch of former 49ers at levi
