as we take a look, we'll switch from first alert doppler, it will rain tonight in the north bay. but then it's also going to rain down here. and it doesn't rain in either place all day, hours on end. it's not going to be a concern for flooding. but things will get wet tomorrow. so get your rain in the morning hours. by sunrise, things calm down in the north bay. then from the santa clara valley to the golden gate, we get light rain throughout the day. it's kind of the reverse of thursday and friday where it was from golden gate north. tomorrow it's south, but it's lighter. you may not notice much of it. we'll let this play into the afternoon and early evening now, this may be two tenths of an inch of rain. that covers monday. but there's a lot more to this system. this is another atmospheric river that's really going to give it a lot of rain to central california over the next two days. i'll

jose tomorrow morning. but they'll be fairly light. let's go to first alert doppler, and you can watch the most recent showers coming across. take a look down at the very bottom of the screen. all the sudden you see a lot more green down there. much more widespread rain to the south. just a quick replay on the most important part of the focus which is when you'll get rain in your part of the bay and what will it look like. tomorrow in the pre-dawn hours there's some isolated showers in the north bay. the intensity over short periods of time will be a little stronger. but it's fairly confined and doesn't last all day. by the time we get past sunrise, the showers give you a break. so there's not a lot there. then, tomorrow, look at the south bay. that's 10:00 a.m. we'll just let it go through the afternoon and evening. really light, very spotty. more time when you're not getting rained on than when you are. but there will always be a chance of a light shower throughout the day

tomorrow, and it will stay fairly cloudy. you'll be able to tell there's a weak system overhead. more rain coming through in the pre-dawn hours, and much more widespread rain down here, and that's about it. i think what we really have to do is look at the system on a bigger picture to understand what's going on. why we're seeing much more impressive rain just south of our frame here. because of this. that's where the storm is really going. tomorrow there's a lot of steady widespread rain going into central california, then tuesday the big one comes in in a more impressive way. that looks quite rainy there. and it's going to go from monterey down the santa barbara. and it will produce good snow mountains too. we're barely getting the northern edge fringe of this, though, and it really won't amount to a lot.

maybe 0.02 inches of rain. and it's said and done by tuesday night. so wednesday, thursday, friday, no rain. you'll see that in the seven-day forecast coming up. if you have to travel in the sierra from now through wednesday morning, it's going to be slow going. snow levels relatively high. 5,000 to 6,000 feet. about a foot of snow at the higher elevations. but there's a winter storm warning until 4:00 a.m. wednesday. so monday and tuesday not pleasant times to be driving over 80 or 50. here's a look back at how we're doing so far. rainfall the least seven days, you really see the red bulls eye up there on the far northern part of the state. let's keep that in view if we can, and fill in the map and kind of balance what it looks like when you visualize the rainfall of the last seven days, and then put the numbers on here across the bay. then we can come back and get a nice flyover on some of the numbers. starting in san
