could forget that? a little calmer, right? >> and establishing that out of the gate, there are four systems that are coming our way between now and next saturday, so there is a lot of confusion like what's coming and when is it getting here? and that is the one that will make it rain tomorrow morning for early saturday morning and what we're going to put on here now is the depiction to keep your eye down here because we'll put that timed marker. between midnight and 7:00 a.m., what we're watching on here as you can see the time stamp there at 5:00 a.m., the showers will arrive and we'll pause it right there at 7:00 in the morning. what you see already, tomorrow morning at 7:00 is the leading edge, a beautifully outlined cold front in the forecast imagery, sitting off the coast, which will then march their way across the rest of the bay in the early morning hours. in the sense of timing, that is very similar to yesterday's rain. but in the sense of intensity t is nothing like last

saturday's rain. let's take a look at the totals. we will see rain from that point at 7:00 a.m. clearing the south baby the time they get to 2:00 in the afternoon, and it is not much. you would get enough rain tomorrow in the santa clara valley, and that is not big. in santa rosa, you would get a quarter of an inch. that's an easy one, three more, and they would get more impressive as we go along, so i'll see you with each of those three in the full forecast in a few minutes. >> thanks. only steps away from luxury stores. and days before christmas, a man is dead after he was shot by police officers near union square. this happened early this morning at post and grant. the man killed by police is the security guard at the christian dior store. hours before the shooting, the suspect hit three people with his car. one of them was riding on an electric scooter. da lin has been following this story all day for us, joining us with the latest. >> reporter: there are two crime scenes, sara, where they

shot and killed a security guard in front of dio, are. construction workers boarded up the window quickly because it's got a bunch of bullet holes in it. it's the second attention grabbing incident to hit the union square area this summer as they would gear up for all the holiday shoppers. >> you need to watch your back downtown especially after 5:00. >> reporter: kevin william says it is wild and bizarre how the shooting unfolded. he witnessed the aftermath at the first crime scene in front of a chipotle restaurant. it happened thursday night around 6:30 p.m. police say a security guard drove his car onto the sidewalk to chase after a man riding on an electric scooter. >> while doing so, there were two young women coming out of chipotle. one, age 18, the other age 17, that were struck by the vehicle. thankfully they have minor injuries.

>> people in the restaurant were serving burritos, things they were all nervous and intent and police were doing a great job. i saw them putting the cast on the person that was hit. >> reporter: police and witnesses say the driver continued to chase after the e-scooter, and eventually hit the rider, causing him to fall. >> at this point, we haven't found that victim, and we want them to come forward. we believe it's a hispanic male in his 20s. the suspect then tried to take the electric bike and put it in his vehicle, unsuccessful in doing so. he did take some of the victim's property and put it in his vehicle and fled the scene. >> reporter: hours later around 1:30 a.m., police tracked down the driver who happened to be working as an overnight security guard in front of dio, are. police tried to arrest him, but ended with multiple officers shooting the guard. they would not say why, but confirmed they found a gun that belonged to the guard. >> and that stuff affects people wanting to come out

here. it makes you not want to feel safe. >> reporter: many small businesses worry the violence will hurt business and holiday shopping. the shooting of 49ers ricky pearsall happened about two blocks away over the summer. >> it's sad that it is happening during the holidays, you know, where we should be happy and festive and then you have this tragedy. >> reporter: while some shoppers say it was an isolated incident, kevin says it is hard to shop when you worry about safety. >> born and raised here in san francisco, so i take it in stride, but i was nervous, just like the people in the restaurant. >> reporter: and they were closed on friday and they did not respond to our request for a comment. now police admit they have a lot more questions than answers, such as why the security guard drove onto the sidewalk to chase after the e-scooter, and why the rider never returned to the site to help police answer some of those questions. >> yeah, da mentioned that incident that happened in union square this august that got national attention when ricky

pearsall was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery in broad daylight. the teen suspect in that case is now facing attempted murder charges. pearsall is back on the field again. today, mayor london breed said today's officer involved shooting does not reflect the progress the city has made to cut down on crime. >> ultimately, you know, downtown is a safe place. this happened in the middle of the night. our officers are very careful about how things happen. i mean the extra officers, not just for the holiday season, but the downtown neighborhood is the reason why a lot of the issues that have happened there in the past are not happening. >> reporter: according to city data, crimes reported to the central district including union square, down 47% at the same time period in 2023. an oakland cocktail bar is about to close up for good after seven years. owners are not saying good-bye as usual. it was great to be here, and

hopefully we could open up again. they're taking a no holds bar approach by posting a heated message explaining why they are just done. obviously we can't show you the curse words, but the post says they're closing because they have been super slow. they're broke as a joke, and they can't hang on in this winter of civilization. and it did not stop there. the post went on and on with the owners writing they will not miss it, saying it has been an awful unforgiving job running this place in oakland. the bleep piles on without respite or relief. and the post really went out with a bang, saying it's mostly a rotten seven years and, "thanks, everyone, we'll see you in hell." yep. our amanda harry spoke to the owners in their last weekend of regular business. >> one of our customers decorates the bar in exchange

foot traffic downtown oakland decrease substantially post pandemic. as more people work remotely. >> the main challenge i would say is getting enough people to go out. it's not just here. this is an industry wide thing. >> reporter: in an increasingly virtual world, many people aren't leaving their homes as much in general. in oakland, there is the additional narrative that it's danger. >> a lot of attention that's focused on the bad things that happened there and this is a beautiful city. >> reporter: they hope the appeal of a burglar and a tiki drink would be enough. it still remains slow with compounds with the other problems of operating a business in the major city like oakland, the owners call it a living nightmare. rising pg&e costs, unpredictable credit card fees, and property crime. >> it's difficult to do

a full circle moment in nicole flemmings eye's. >> it's bringing back families. it's bringing back our community. it's just bringing back the love and the unity that we all have and we need during these hard times right now. >> reporter: 90 years ago, the filmore known as the harlem of the west is a bustling hub for black san franciscans, famous for smooth jazz and good food. tonight, the christmas market is back. not only to build on that legacy, but to revive it. a harlem renaissance if you will. ♪ [ music ] ♪ >> that's what this is all about. it's creating that unity among each other. >> reporter: there's been a year's long push to restore the filmore, which is a hub of bustling black owned businesses. wilson says the boarded up shops and vacant lots paint a devastating image of the black culture that once populated her home. but events like the market are a powerful

reminder of what could be. >> for americans to come back to the filmore. it's important to recognize this is the mecca, where you could come and look at every black business along it had corridor where we are at, that you're able to come in and purchase every item that you need. we're trying to recreate that. >> reporter: this year's event is charged with booths dedicated to black cuisine and music. but one was there to give something back. kids lined up to pick out free toys, operated by that. >> and i'm so happy to be able to go out and get the toys to help. >> reporter: this year's market will mark the third and hopefully a long line of christmas miracles. she can feel the event one event at a time. >> here comes the rain.

we changed -- cold front. this is southerly morning at 9:00 a.m. you want to see what's different? come back over here. it's going on shore. the rain is going to help, yes. but this will clear out back towards the central valley and break it up in any way. so they won't have to deal with it either. they'll get some help. let's take a look at the big picture before i show you the next three rainmakers that's coming our way. the first one and the last visit. i just need to show you what the pacific looks like right now especially in light of the intensity of it had storm. that storm right there is quite intense. now the one coming in tomorrow is this one. there will be light rain. as strong as this one is, it's as strong as you like. we're going to get rain from this and you might hear it from social

media and a variant tense storm out here with hurricanes. we've got a high surf advisory over the next couple of days because we've got that strong storm out there kicking up the waves. just watch this quickly. big picture view. this is the next seven days. so there are a lot of storms coming to the west coast. most of them have bad aim as far as we're concerning. we're going to put this into the forecast imagery and start at the beginning. so that is right now with a little bit of rain off the coast. and we will gain some comparison for storm number one. and that you will bracket the time. and

that will get us on sunday, the second half of the day. so instead of the quarter of an inch like tomorrow, storm number two on sunday night will give us half an inch of rain. we'll find storm number three. in order to do that, we'll lose all the beautiful details because you need to go with the long-range model that will still show up. storm number three is coming in, late monday night, so late, technically it will be tuesday. and it is better than storm number two. so as we would look at tuesday morning, that washes over the bay for the first half of the day, we'll probably get half an inch of rain from that one and storm number four. and at this point, it looks like thursday and perhaps trending into friday that we'll have more time. you want to see how much rain we'll put together? and that is tomorrow. we'll add in the total. and this is
