11:04 pm
but not everyone preferred it. >> actually i like the west with the east. i like that more. >> reporter: but some believed it made the game better. >> it's the most competitive i've seen. i love it, the three games, young people against guys with bad knees and bad backs. >> reporter: we'll see if the new format continues next year, but we do know the all-star game will be back here in california. it will be in los angeles in 2026. >> and then there's the competition for money. the all-star game, if forecasts live up to reality, should have pumped about $350 million into the bay area and there was also, by the way, the game itself. let's get over to the expert. here's andrea. >> for that game, the hometown favorites stole the show. steph curry in his 11th time being selected an all-star leads shaq's ogs to a win and he does something he's only done one other time in his career. matt lively has more from chase center. >> reporter: as he's done so

11:10 pm
>> i personally lost my fear a long time ago growing up undocumented. if i was fearful, i wouldn't be out here today. >> reporter: hundreds of people stretching for blocks marched from san mateo city hall to san francisco city hall, making brief stops at daly city and san bruno city halls. >> the reason we chose to do this is because it's a walk that many of our parents did to come to this country. >> reporter: 21 miles and thousands of steps, san mateo county sheriff's department and other agencies providing traffic control. >> my feet are in pain, probably have blisters by the end of the day, but i feel like it's worth it for the cause. i'm very tired, but i think the adrenaline has been kicking in. a lot of these girls have a lot of energy. everyone is still chanting. >> reporter: the young organizers remind the public it was the republican party and president ronald reagan who signed the last sweeping reform bill into law back in 1986. they admit it will take a lot more work and pressure for that kind of change under the trump
11:11 pm
administration. >> honestly, i did not expect this many people to come out, but it's really empowering. >> reporter: turning fear into strength and unity, martinez zaragoza says this is part of a lengthy journey for change. >> when it comes to us asking for citizenship, we're really just asking for basic human rights. >> reporter: the large group arrived at san francisco city hall just after 5:00. the trip took about ten hours. they say it's not the first and it won't be the last march in the coming months. other news over the weekend, israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu said he is moving forward with president trump's proposal to take over gaza and get rid of the millions of palestinians who have lived there. trump wants to turn it into what he has called the riviera of the middle east. >> secretary rubio and i discussed president trump's bold vision for gaza, for gaza's future, how we can work together to insure that that future becomes a reality. >> the president's also been
11:12 pm
very bold about his view of what the future for gaza should be, not the same tired ideas of the past. >> an alternative plan is being prepared by egypt which would see hamas formally excluded from governance of gaza and excluded from its reconstruction. the united arab emirates and qatar are both preparing financial offers to fund the rebuilding effort, but only if palestinians get to stay. still ahead tonight at 11:00, a possible hate crime investigation after a transgender person was found beaten to death in new york. later, a dark time in america's past as san jose remembers 125,000 people sent to japanese internment camps during world war ii. and we cleared out one weak weather system today, got a little light rain that moved across parts of the bay this morning. now we need to look ahead. there's another one coming middle of the week, not a

well, we kind of want to see rain and we don't because that's what happens after a fire, but we're in for some really nice weather. >> one more chance for rain and then really nice weather after that. we're doing a replay on here of the showers that came through this morning, got like a 0.01-inch of rain for parts of the north bay, didn't get much south of there. you look at the areas on the map that have it, i didn't put anything down here because even though there was a few light showers that came in over the peninsula this morning at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., it didn't really rain where you could measure it. you had to be up in the north bay between like 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this morning to get it. even that 0.01-inch in san francisco, it did not rain in the official rain gauge. years from now when they look back at today's date, they will see it did not rain at all in san francisco, but there were places where we did get rain, so i wanted to put it on there because i know that should be the case. let's talk about what comes next. there's another system coming our way that will get here by the time

both, light showers in the north bay by wednesday morning and by late morning clearing down to the peninsula and the south bay. we could have a few stragglers as early as evening on wednesday before it comes to an end. it won't be a lot of rain. we're only talking about maybe a 1/4 inch of rain in the north bay and a couple hundredths of an inch of rain south of there. the real story after that is the warm-up coming our way. let's get over to the seven-day forecast. we'll put three on here. first one we'll look at is the one that stands out the most. the seven-day forecast for san jose shows you numbers up into the mid-70s by next weekend, saturday and sunday with daytime highs getting up into the mid-70s. we'll look at some of the other locations on here. let's finish up with the seven-day forecast in general for our inland microclimates, north bay, tri-valley, might not go mid-70s, but you'll make it to the low 70s and when we look at the seven-day forecast on here for san francisco, those
