the valley earlier today. look at this time last dust and rain that moved over downtown phoenix. >> check out the damage storms caused in tucson. flooding turned several streets into rivers. firefighters had to rescue dozens. flooding causing problems in apache junction where we find william pitts live. >>reporter: aj is used to flooding even a permanent sign in this about it but today was more than a lot of people had seen out here. in intersections all over the place underwater. some closed for almost an hour before the water could drain off. all the rain fell in about 20 minutes. drainage systems overwhelmed for about an hour. cars barely made it through. some roads closed completely. city officials offering up sandbags to people if they need them. >> it was like sheets of rain

door. carport door, home door. >>reporter: most of the water is gone but that is not what people might need sandbags for, it is for the next round of rain that will probably come tonight and into the next two days. the storms created some scary conditions as far as dust. this was on i-10 earlier this afternoon. the dust making impossible for drivers to see, a lot of them wisely taking it slow and safe. >> definitely safe. tonight we are expecting another round of storms so career day how long to the last? >> pretty quiet right now. we will stay quiet for the majority of the evening. we will get you to the map. things change as we head into overnight and early tomorrow, tomorrow morning when we see the most activity. let's switch it to the maps and

flood watch already in effect for the majority of arizona with the exception of a couple areas. this will go through tomorrow at 11:00. a pretty long time frame where we could see storms around the state. northeastern arizona with the exception there and southeast those areas not expected to see quite as much rain. a look at our chances as we head after midnight, a 60% chance of storms, 70% chance as we head into tomorrow morning. start to see the decrease as we see chances decreased through thursday evening. again talking heavy rainfall that could lead to rapid flooding across the valley. stay safe, turn around, do not drown. monsoon meter high across the state. nine in northern arizona and the white nouns and 8 southeast arizona and a 7 in the valley. folks have been sending in

let's start with how melon ballots are sent to voters. maricopa county's ballot printer got the names of 1 million people on the permanent early voter list on july 9. ballots mailed to homes august 3, last wednesday. voter who change registration information between the time the printer got the voter list and the voter registration deadline august 1 would get a second ballot. the first one would be it won't count. you might not realize you changed your voter information or you would get another ballot. now that you have two ballots how do you know which one to send in? remember what i said about the first one disabled, how do you know which one is the first one? the answer on the green return envelope. look under the bar code at the long number. then look at the last two digits. this envelope says 0 1 which means it was the first ballot sent out and won't be counted.

county, west of prescott a cluster of storms moving out of southern mohave county moving to the northwestern section of yavapai county watch out for heavy rain and gusty winds towards the grand canyon a cluster of storms making their way north and east. into the white mountains, white river toward show low, south of holbrook, storms dumping heavy rainfall. we have seen hail across portions of the high country and you know the heavy rainfall we saw here in the valley. we are not done with this. a lot of monsoon oyster aided by remnant moisture from tropical storm javier. that moisture will get caught up and continue to bring us more heavy rainfall across the valley. over 2 inches in apache junction north of mesa, sky harbor picking up a couple tenths of an inch of rain. the model say about the future
