and no word if that suspect was caught. in video of a fiery police chase and an alleged to truck thief. the man behind the wheel is now behind the bars. a canine officer tracked him down. a woman is facing charges after a deadly shooting at a hotel. police say she shot her boyfriend messing around with his a.k.47, the man pointed the rifle at her and believed if she didn't squeeze the trigger it wouldn't go off, but it did. she turned herself in after the shooting. the search continues for this missing boy in buck eye, it has been nearly a month since he disappeared from his

once again another look on this saturday morning at the olympic cauldron here -- and it's 713 right now here. we want to get a heart check foryou. most kids don't have a passing grade with the american associations' standards for heart health. 94% had poor diet, with not a lot of fruits and vegetables and only a third of the children met the exercise goal and a quarter of teens were obese. combining treadmill training here assigned 300 high

treadmill training and virtual training where they could see their feet walking on the screen. six months later the group reduced their falls by 42%. incredible, now while the treadmill only group had a slight decrease. scientists looked at the brain activity of 23 kids as they looked commercial. taste is important here, pet of the week is not happy here -- the taste of the food was more important than health than deciding what to eat. they also made decisions more quickly after seeing the food commercials. maintaining a healthy weight may come down to

here in louisiana. more than a foot of rain has fallen and many houses near baton rouge are facing a flooding threat as the rivers meet a cresting levels. they will get more than 5 inches here in the next couple of days, in some spots they have had more than a foot of rain. we localizedflooding but nothing like that and the clear skies we're dealing with here. >> they definitely need to dry out and the meetol gists are -- saying that they really need to dry out there and keep that community safe. here's a live look outside here

sunshine for you today. that's a beautiful look at camelback mountain here. here's the monsoon monitor here and we are continuing to dry out here, most of the storms are staying in the northern and eastern part of arizona here. we can expect that heat to continue cranking up and the storms return soon and we're talking about it this a second. the completely dry, we see some thunder strikes here along the rim. if you look west the valley is staying high and dry for now. high pressure does continue to move into the northwest and that means california and parts of south western arizona, and moving into the phoenix area and that means that the heat will crank up a bit here

team 12 is following breaking news here, as a phoenix police officer says he was forced to shoot and kill a suspect that cut him with a right now. this happened at indian school where police were serving a search warrant. the suspect lunged out of the closet and cut a police officer in the hand. then the police officer fired on him and killed the suspect. we're told that the police officer will be okay.

had forgotten to take the baby to day care and when he arrived back at the car, the temperature was more than 100 degrees and it was well over 140 degrees in the car. several people hurt at a oil refinery last night and the injured workers were doing welding when they fire broke out and several people had to be rushed to the hospital for burns and there's no threat to residents that the plant. heavy flooding in parts of illinois, no reports of any injuries there. well they don't call it the most important meal of the day for no reason, we're talking about what healthy people eat
