jake should give up their data -- their day jobs anytime soon. in november 2014 the diamondbacks signed monte thomas to a six-year $68.59 contract. a big star in the cuban national team before that. his rookie season last year had many thinking a bus. .270 batting average, not exactly the power numbers diamondbacks were expecting but how things have changed the last three weeks. he his past 19 games including two last night. he now has a team-leading 25 home runs sparking talk that he is worth the investment. i think he is way too inconsistent at the play and defense still needs lots of work. given his recent power search i think his value has risen and i think the diamondbacks should take advantage of it by trading him in the off-season.
