we'll be bringing you that live on 12 news.com. trisha hendrix continues our coverage of the convention. >>reporter: hey, guys. hearing a lot of strong opinions, passionate opinions on both sides from trump supporters and protest torrs and right down here -- protesters outside of the phoenix convention center. earlier we heard drumming. talk act the mood out here. >> it's exciting. i just thought it was gonna be a good place to vent a little frustration. >>reporter: talk about where the frustration stems from. >> just the tone of the campaign. never seen one like this. >>reporter: a lot of tension of the streets and people voicing their opinion and protests. what are those feelings being

but her aids say she has no plans to go. >> it's one of those things that you certainly don't want to have happen on election night but when it does happen, we're happy to be able to isolate that problem. >> secretary of state michelle reagan offering an explanation of what happened to the brand new voter website last night. >> it crashed and experienced long delays. it's the latest mishap related to elections here we have more from reagan and how can voters know we won't see more problems when we get to the general election in november? >> well, the secretary of state assures us they identified this problem. she's optimistic. the problem she says here was what she calls a locked file of information that jammed up the system. >> in non-techy terms it was kind of like a big traffic jam.

caused the traffic jam says secretary of state. the website unveiled by reagan last week sputtered and shut down just after votes poured in at 8:00 p.m.. reagan says the site was offline and under repair for 47 minutes. >> it was a very long 47 minutes but it's been working fine ever since. >> a series of mishaps has docked them since march when they miscalculated the polling election leading to long lines and causing a public black eye for the state. >> as i said before, i'm deeply sorry. >> the continue recorder's office botched the spanish translation of mail in ballots. the secretary of state office was late to send publicity pamphlets to publicity voters. then came last night's primary. aside from the website's

three huge snakes found in scottsdale are back where they belong. they'd been captured in the same area over the past month. some how they managed to get out of their enclosure. most recent happened monday night as a woman came face to face with a 7-foot boa constrictor while taking out the trash. fortunately no people or animals were hurt. the high cost of the life saving epipen has created a new market on craigs list. >> people are now selling them for a discounted price online

drastically increased. doctors say online purchases could turn out to be deadly. a local doctor adds it's illegal for someone to sell their personal prescription drugs to another user. >> if the person died because the epipen delivered to that person was either fraudulent or nonfunctional, the person who sold it could be held criminally responsible. >> if they don't come fr pharmacist or doctor, you really don't know what's inside them. imagine finding a swat team parked outside of your home. what led to this large police presence in a valley neighborhood. where does arizona fall on this year's list of best and worst states to have a baby? and could a nun's prayer help curve bruce arian's foul mouth? asu's armon perry opens up

take the stage to speak for donald trump. he's part of the trump campaign. then donald trump is expected to take the stage tonight at about 7:00 p.m.. we'll be streaming that live on 12 news.com. let's take a look at some other hot headlines. swat team members in a neighborhood arresting two suspects wanted in a string of burglaries in the alejandro and leslie taylor behind bars. they'll vote to legalize recreational marijuana here in arizona. opponents filed a lawsuit saying supporters deceived voters but a supreme court ruling confirmed it will be on the ballot. where does arizona fall on this year's list of best and worst states to have a baby?

nation. lowest hospital charges, lowest infant care cost and infant mortality rates. vermont number one on the list and mississippi came in last. >> i would have thought that arizona would have been a little bit higher on that list. >> i would have thought so too because i think we have great care and medical facilities specifically for children. oh, well, guess we'll have to keep doing a bit better. we have some the northern part of our county right now. see a live picture right now. camel back mountain looks pretty good and shade over the mountain due to a few clouds in that area. right now we have a temperature of 103 degrees but should see that go down as we head into the next few hours or so. 101 at 7:00 p.m. and isolated storm possible, 9:00 p.m., 96 degrees and 91 as we head into the 11:00 p.m. hour.

little bit of moisture there and one little shower that developed along the i17. northeast there of lake pleasant otherwise if you look off to the far, far east in gila county, some of that is trying to make its way into maricopa county. concerned about what's happening down to the southeast as well. lot of moisture near sierra vista but moisture ahead of that that could shift its wa into the valley. we're also watching this, storms north of globe dumping heavy rain fall pushing down to the south and west. we're watching what's happening along the florida coast. there are tropical storm warnings there in effect along the florida panhandle. this is tropical storm hermine expected to possibly turn into a hurricane there before making land fall. the forecast says it'll be below that as we head into the

but storm surge and tremendous flooding will be the main concern there. an 8 in the white mountains and 2 in the valley to keep our eyes pealed out for that. a 5 up to the north. here's the seven day forecast showing storm chances through early friday. then we dry out over the weekend as temperatures kind of sit right close to about 100, 101 sunday through wednesday. here's thanks a lot. filling your belly and talking with birds. a nice crowd at today's annual cardinals kick off lunch in where fans got to dine with players and coaches. the cardinals play their final preseason game tomorrow.
