monsoon has left people dead. it's the strongest storm so far this year to make land. nearly a million homes lost power and many are flooded. it has been downgraded to a tropical storm. >> it's a hurricane but because of the region of the area it's located 70-80 miles per hour wind pounding and causing a lot of damage. right now, the sun is just getting ready to come up on this thursday. i like to say thursday hasn't started yet as it peaks right on top of that. it's dry and it feels so nice out there across the valley.

a suspect is dead. a school is closed for repairs. what he's saying about his ankle. a major section from a freeway had to be shutdown. we are talking about three active crime scenes all related to this incident. we are live at the third back where this got started. this started as a home invasion. two people went inside this home at 69th avenue. a couple guys get away and police pursue them. they run on second avenue and

avoid the 17 southbound through the downtown area. take the 10 eastbound. you can see we are super slow eastbound. look at the 49-minute ride from the 17 southbound at the stack you are doing good getting to that point. don't get caught in that 8 miles per hour traffic jam. to the 101 it's 18 minutes. you m about how cool it is out there. i'm not talking about jacket weather, but it feels awesome. you have to think we are floating with the 50s in many areas here across the valley. it's just a great downward trend. that cool pocket made it's way. we have 32 for flagstaff.

it has traffic stalled. avoid that. hard to see this one with the sun glare, left lane still blocked. again, another place you want to avoid at all cost. also the ramp from the 17 westbound closed. there is the delays from the crash on the 60. would you want to 30 miles per hour, i don't think so. 11 miles per hour here and there on the 10 eastbound. these travel times are horrible. about an hour on the 10 eastbound. more than an hour nt 17 southbound. the key there is hop on the 10 at the stack instead of the 17 and you will avoid that. let's talk about the sunshine. it is bright out there.
