12 news at 10:00, starts now. >> up first, breaking new brush fire in the west phoenix area. 60 firefighters are on scene right now. near 91st and southern avenue. this is video from sky 12 just a while ago. still no word on what sparked the fire. the investigation that led to a major investigation in the city jail in scottsdale. they granted treatment for a mesa lieutenant.

kingman. 53-year-old jeffrey shot at officers. you can sigh the gun in the suspect's right hand. a detective was also struck and remains in serious but stable condition tonight. both officers are on paid administrative leave during the investigation. a prescott valley woman faces second degree murder charges in the death of her death. the baby was found the mother angela clark left her in the tub unattended for half an hour. she was taken off life support eventually. >> it's been 20 years since the mysterious phoenix lights appeared in the sky. an since then, questions linger as to what happened that night. arizona is not the only place where mysterious lights, in texas, there was a phenomena called the lights.

now to the hot headlines. an ohio police department is defending itself against police brutality claims after this showed a man being smashed into the police cruiser. he was stopped for jaywalking and they were investigating
