truck showed up and we're told by glenndale police very no fatalities and there were two drivers involved, both transported to the hospital with serious but non-life- threatening injuries. one of the drivers has a broken leg. look at traffic. northbound lanes are down to one. southbound along 51st avenue and is completely closed. glendale police tell us as they're beginning the cleanup process that the road should be back open within the hour. live at 51st avenue and orangewood, brian west >> thank you, brian. and for more alternative routes, here's crystal. >> and in the meantime, your mo is going to be 59th avenue or 43rd and you will get past that without any issue. in the east valley here, we're looking at the 101 before the 60. sparks traffic at this point and you can expect to pull off top speeds. nothing but green here and looks like a tad bit of slowing on the 10 westbound past the 202. same old same in the west valley, the long stretch on the eastbound. hit-and-miss on the 17 southbound and starting off at

figure out who the person was and how that person died. hurricane matthew is lashing haiti with winds of 140 miles an hour. the category 4 storm passed over haiti's southeastern 10 after dawn and poses a major threat to the dominican republic. the forecasters say that matthew could make another landfall on the eastern end of cuba. and paisley park minnesota, prince's place, might be put on hold. the table to vot the supporters of the decision said the city's planning commission needs to take more time on the project, including looking at factors like public safety and traffic. tickets have been sold for tours this thursday and there is no word on what impact that could have on the tours. >> 6:07 and we're less than four weeks from halloween. time to find's costume. the hottest costumes include wonder woman, dead pool, pokemon and harlequin.

the brakes between the 17 and the 51. it's the same old same here and in fact, all of the valley freeways right now, shall i dare say it, you can see the usual slowdown, nothing more. the 10 westbound between the 202 and the 60, modest slowing and taking you off of valley freeways for a moment. and still dealing with the closure on 51st avenue between orangewood and northern and glendale. southbound shut down and northbound, one lane gets you by. soak out the avenues and use northern and glendale as well and breaking down the 101 eastbound, 46 miles an hour between the 17 and 51 and a 20- minute ride from 75th avenue to scottsdale road. jimmy. and it looks beautiful outside. the temperatures on the chilly

currently, this is what we have. just bright skies and gorgeous water and right now, currently 57 for cape creek; 52 for the san 2009 valley and 53 for maricopa. we came close into the 40s and we hit 49 degrees in the san 2009 valley this morning before warming back up again. and we do have the cold temperatures if you go up to flagstaff. thirty degrees and 37 for winslow, 60 for the satellite radar, we're quiet and bringing the showers tomontmont. most of the east coast on the quiet side until you move down to the caribbean. and hurricane matthew is tough into parts of the bahamas and haiti, a category 4 storm and 145 miles per hour winds and that is moving to the north at nine miles per hour. looks like it could miss florida and as it moves into the mid-atlantic toward the carolinas, the maryland

we just got word from glendale police that this will be opening up in a few minutes this morning. we're live at 1st -- 51st avenue, brian west 12 today. >> and for more on the traffic, we go to crystal. >> and probably don't need a plan b for much longer. go ahead and seek out 59th or 43rd avenue. instead, northern and glendale will help you go east and west. and -- west. we're in the red zone on the 10 eastbound for a few miles there and stop- building volume just about everywhere as we are now in the midst of rush hour. all of the usual spots hitting the brakes. we're at 10 westbound before the 60 here and there is a lot of commotion in that area. the we continue to see it crammed and more crammed with cars there. especially between queen creak and the 60, averaging speeds in the 40s. two minutes for that ride from queen creek to downtown. right now, the 202 is looking good. >> crystal, thank you.

and 12 news at 9 and 10. it's 6:36. and checking the hot headlines. we're looking at two two people police left a five-month-old boy in a hot car for four hours. the boy was found dead by neighbors. the baby's uncle, 18-year-old jose garcia jr. and his 23-year- old girlfriend monique avilar are chasing child abuse charges. the couple agreed to baby sit and forgot to take him out of the car. >> two former tucson reporters have avo baby's system. police say kristen and -- [ indiscernible ] took their daughter to the hospital in may. tests found cocaine in the four- month-old's body. police learned the couple had a party the night before. the couple reached a plea agreement to avoid prison time and were given probation and community service. the d'backs filed the general manager and manager after another losing season. the d'backs won the world series in 2001 and had a brief resurgence a decade later by

today, 80 to 95. cooler-than-normal and lots of sunshine out there. the radar is looking just completely quiet. the low pressure and the cool weather is giving us a phenomenal weather, the bulk of it. systems into the north of us into montana and north and southbound, most of the coast mainly on the clear side and, of course, the hurricane matthew down into the south. very, very strong and very deadly storm right now. the winds at 145 miles an hour expected to hit haiti and then it will stay strong close to the southern coast of the united states. mid-atlantic could have problems and that would not be until friday or saturday and we continue to track this and the track of low pressure is giving us the great weather and the high pressure is going to start to build more by friday and into the weekend. 61 degrees outside right now and, of course, the next seven days, we'll call it biscuits and gravy.

seen the serk show -- cirque, it starts from the beginning and imaginative and creative. this has to be difficult. you had to do some interpretation from the movie and combine it with the magical, you know, atmosphere of what cirque brings. >> absolutely. >> and this is interesting. it's a prequel to the movie ava tar. ava tar fans will get some questions answers that they have been wondering. slight mentions of things in the movie and you're going to see new creatures on the of panner toa -- pandora and it's been a great collaboration to bring the acrobatics with the sinia -- cinematography and we have projections to see here that just really fill up the arena space and we have a story teller that takes you on amazing journey with the trio of kids that are going to save the planet. >> and you did the makeup. >> i did. >> and which is amazing. you did it about, what, 20
