checking your hot headlines.. a young couple is behind bars for allegedly leaving a five year old in the car - while they gambled at casino arizona. police say brad porter junior and his girlfriend - jessica lopez were in the casino for a few hours and would check on the boy every half hour or so. in a jail house interview.. porter told us he recently lost his job and the family is currently homeless. he says they were down to $40 dollars and he figured ?legal? way to double the money. this morning.. three men are dead after an apparent speed racing crash. it happened near central and dunlap. witnesses say the drivers crashed into a couple of trees and were ejected along with one passenger. all three people involved later died from their injuries. a man from prescott is behind bars after he allegedly shot and killed his pregnant wife. kenneth blair told police it was an accident..

during a heated argument between the two. blair was arrested on two counts of first degree murder. his wife was four months pregnant. phoenix police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting a family dog during a burglary. it happened near 35-th avenue and deer valley last month. police believe brian tibbits entered the home through the doggy door. he's accused of killing the family dog - as well as stealing jewelry.. credit cards and electronics. the city of phoenix is still cleaning up after a water main break. it happened near 24-th street and roosevelt.street and near 24-th ipp city officials say people who live in the area do have water again - but they are warning drivers to avoid the intersection - until crews can patch up the street. schools in safford are closed this week - because of damage caused by powerful storms over the weekend. one viewer - sending us this photo of her backyard in safford. the area got 6-inches of hail saturday night. make a difference day is just a couple weeks away -- and 12 news is proud to team up once again with the "be a leader foundation" and its
